"Just the rumors," Amelia responded lightly.
Jaso was cautious with Amelia, probably because her depression had made everyone in the Cobb family cautious. Whenever he asked about her whereabouts, he couldn't help but to be cautious in his speech.
It made him seem subservient.
"I met Translator Wood abroad this time, and he asked me about your recent situation and your wedding date," Jaso recalled that day's meeting, feeling somewhat strange.
Henry Wood being overly concerned about Amelia might not necessarily be a good thing.
Moreover, at this moment, everyone was waiting for Amelia's wedding with Christopher Robinson.
"He asked me to pass on a message to you," Jaso added.
He stared intently at Amelia, as if trying to glean some emotion from her face, but he didn't see any significant changes for several minutes.
"Can I choose not to listen?"
Some words were just bothersome anyway.
Jaso nodded: "If you don't want to hear it, I won't say it."
