Christopher Robinson tossed out this sentence while holding his cigarette.
It caused Amelia Cobb to stare at him with a somewhat dazed gaze, and suddenly reminded her of a saying.
People who sit on the throne can't see the ants below them.
Christopher caught the confusion in Amelia's eyes.
"What are you thinking about?" The man's deep voice asked.
Amelia came back to her senses and spoke nonchalantly, "Nothing."
Of course, she wouldn't tell him that she was thinking about her own death.
"If Mr. Robinson has nothing else, I'll be leaving."
Amelia was anxious to leave.
