Sophia Jackson leaned on her elbow: "If I said I didn't hear a single word, would you believe me?"
Oliver Nelson: "You guess if I believe it or not."
Sophia hmphed: "When you let me get in the car first, you should've realized that the soundproofing of this car isn't good."
Oliver raised his hand, resting his elbow on the window sill and supporting his head with his fingertips. He looked at Sophia leisurely: "Are you sure the soundproofing in this car is bad? Why don't we give it a try and see if anyone notices?"
Sophia: "..."
While Oliver was driving, Sophia tried to minimize her presence. She just agreed with whatever he said, and pretended not to hear anything else.
However, the matter of a joint dinner between the two families made it impossible for Sophia to stay out of it.
Although she heard some things in the car, she resisted when Oliver brought it up now: "Even though we'll have dinner together sooner or later, it's happening too soon. I'm not prepared yet."
