Before meeting Martin Jenkins, Lyra Smith made sure to dress up. She wanted to look radiant when she saw him.
Morris Jackson watched her as she meticulously layering body lotion and skin-care cream on her body, "You're meeting your former agent, not your ex-boyfriend. Why are you making such a fuss?"
Lyra wasn't pleased with that comment and pointed at several red marks on her collarbone, "I need the body lotion for my concealer to set properly."
Morris asked, "Concealer?"
Lyra explained in a serious tone, "Yes, it's a magical tool to hide these red marks."
Morris understood and said solemnly, "Your skin is delicate, don't use too thick layers of those products. I'll be more careful next time."
"There won't be a next time," she responded quickly and confidently.
