Lyra did not know that the man in front of her, with such a serious appearance, was secretly thinking about how to tease her.
"Lyra," he softly called her name.
She responded in a low voice.
A sentence fell into her ears, "How could I be willing to let someone else have you?"
Her heart suddenly beat faster.
He slowly raised his head, his gaze fixed on her soft lips, "That night, if I had refused you and just took you away, we wouldn't have so many interactions today. Would you hate me?"
Lyra swallowed and shook her head, "No." Then she gave a passable explanation, "We are both adults who can take responsibility."
After that, she decided not to think about it because she knew that there was no room for regret. But when she found out that Erwin's trip abroad was not a coincidence but purposely arranged, she realized that the matter was not as simple as she thought.
It was not hate, just some lingering regrets.
