Lyra thought she opened the door incorrectly, so she went back to her room, closed the door. She silently counted for tens of seconds, and opened the door again.
When she looked, there was no one on the couch.
"Good, I was just seeing things!"
In her subconscious, it wasn't that she didn't believe she saw Morris early in the morning, but she was afraid to see him.
Mainly because the dream last night was too real.
She hummed a tune to ease her nervousness and turned the corner when she left the bedroom, only to see Morris coming straight towards her.
Lyra froze: "Uncle Morris!!!"
Morris asked indifferently: "What, seeing me early in the morning makes you feel uncomfortable?"
"No, no," Lyra quickly shook her head. If she had responded a few seconds later to Morris's question, it would have been hard to explain.
She said, "I just didn't expect to see you in my house, Uncle Morris."
