Erwin Jackson clearly didn't anticipate that Lyra Smith would suddenly change her mind.
"Lyra, are you messing with me?" Erwin's jovial demeanor changed, his tone growing icy cold.
"Lyra, don't forget, it was you who promised to dissolve our engagement as soon as possible. Now that everything is ready, you're telling me you've changed your mind?" Erwin's tone grew heavier with each word, clearly filled with rage.
Lyra wanted to say something, but realized that anything she said would be wrong.
Could she confide in Erwin about this?

Erwin and Morris Jackson belonged to the same family, the Jackson Family. Except for Sophia Jackson, she couldn't trust anyone else.
Not to mention, Erwin seemed to truly despise her.
"Erwin, I just wanted…" she attempted to soothe his temper.
Erwin coldly interrupted her, "Lyra, are you a slut?"
Lyra was taken aback, staring wide-eyed at Erwin.
