She walked behind Ivan, who wore a mask and carried a briefcase, looking every bit the part of a lawyer.
The reporters gathered outside swarmed to interview him as he emerged, thinking him to be a lawyer for the case—
"Excuse me, are you one of the representatives of the legal team hired by Mr. and Mrs. Smith?"
"Do you think there is a massive conspiracy behind the Smith family incident?"
"We heard that the Smith couple's youngest daughter was at the scene of their arrest, was she left behind?"
"Excuse me..."
Faced with these relentless questions, Ivan's reply from behind his mask was a single phrase: "I regret that I have nothing to say."
Then he pushed through the crowd, leading Lyra to their waiting vehicle.
