Lyra was left dizzy and disoriented after being swung around earlier. She tried to focus and make sense of her surroundings, but her vision was filled with a blurry haze.
Slowly, the memory of a dangerous encounter on Maiden Peak years ago resurfaced in her mind. She hadn't properly protected herself from snow blindness back then, and now she couldn't see clearly.
Was she going blind again...?
Despair washed over her like a tidal wave.
Tears silently rolled down her cheeks, big droplets hitting the back of her hand.
Lyra heard Iris's scream, followed by her grasping onto Lyra's wrist with a death grip. Lyra didn't understand why Iris was holding onto her so tightly, the force causing her arm to ache. Her lips quivered as she struggled to speak, "Let... let go, let go of me..."
She finally managed to break free, only for her wrist to be immediately grabbed again by Iris. Iris held onto her tightly, yelling, "Lyra, I messed up!"
