Sophia Jackson didn't really want to attent the party held by the Nelson Family.
Especially Kim Nelson, that annoying fella, who kept popping up in front of her and pissing her off from time to time.
However, upon hearing from Heidi Green that the party was being held in honor of a business deal Oliver Nelson had recently struck, Sophia had to admit that she was tempted. She chastised herself for being so weak, but she couldn't help thinking that it would be a good opportunity to see Oliver and resolve her internal conflicts.
Sophia mentioned this to Lyra Smith.
Lyra understood Sophia's thoughts and knew she couldn't dissuade her. So she suggested, "How about you let Uncle Morris arrange for a few bodyguards to accompany you to Wheat City?"
Though Sophia was often carefree, she knew when it was crucial to act wisely.
If something like the last time happened again, no one knew whether she'd be lucky enough to escape unscathed.
