There are ten minutes left until the New Year's bell rings.
Standing under the tower, Sophia Jackson has a hint of a smile on her face. She asks Lyra Smith beside her, "So, is Frank Smith not worth it?"
"Not worth it."
It's not Lyra who answers these three words.
It's Frank Smith, who's walking over from behind.
Sophia and Lyra simultaneously turn their heads to see Frank approaching from a distance.
Standing next to Sophia, Frank's gaze sweeps gently over Lyra before finally resting onh Sophia. He repeats his previous answer, "Not worth it."
Sophia looks at him, "What gives you the right to answer that?"
Frank meets Sophia's eyes. After a brief eye contact, he speaks slowly, "I'm the only one who can answer that question."
Sophia's lips purse, "But I didn't ask you."
Frank says, "Since the topic is about me, I have the right to answer."
Sophia laughs, "You have quite a way with words."
"Sophia." Frank calls her name solemnly.
