It was Gregory Smith who had come to invite Mikel Anderson to make a late-night snack.
However, it was Gregory who ended up in the kitchen making the snack, while Mikel sat in the living room watching TV. She tried to enter the kitchen several times, but each time she stood up, she was caught by Gregory.
He put on a serious face.
After two or three attempts, Mikel finally gave up on going back to her room and sat down patiently to wait for Gregory to finish preparing the late-night snack.
The wait felt extremely long, so much so that her eyelids could no longer stay open, and her consciousness plunged into chaos, eventually falling asleep unintentionally.
She didn't know how long she had been asleep, but vaguely felt something itchy on her cheek, followed by the tip of her nose - as if a dog was sniffing in front of her. However, there was no smell of a dog, rather, it was the pleasant scent of a cold fir tree.
