Knock knock knock—
Sophia Jackson knocked on the door.
After waiting for half a minute and no one came to open the door, Sophia continued knocking.
No matter how many times she knocked afterwards, no one came to open the door.
If it weren't for seeing the car downstairs, Sophia would have thought that Frank Smith wasn't actually here.
She changed her knocking gesture to pounding on the door, shouting while doing so: "Frank! Open the door! I know you're inside! Don't pretend to be dead!"
But still, no one opened the door.
So, Sophia upgraded her gesture once more, kicking the door instead.
Unexpectedly, the person inside remained unmoved. Sophia became furious, kicking twice more before losing strength and standing outside the door to calmly gather her thoughts.
She thought for about two or three minutes.
Just when she was about to leave, the door suddenly opened.
