Erwin Jackson adjusted his position and sat down next to Lyra Smith, his legs crossed, one hand holding a grasshopper and the other resting on his knee.
He began his story: "This story happened a long, long time ago. It started with a little boy who fell ill. He closed off his heart, unwilling to communicate with the outside world. The doctor said that the little boy was autistic."
Lyra listened carefully and asked seriously, "Did the little boy undergo treatment?"
"Yes, but that was later." Erwin didn't pause for too long before continuing, "He wasn't against contact with the outside world, just scared. He didn't have the courage, so he closed off his heart, refusing to communicate with anyone."
"Ever since he could remember, the little boy always heard his parents arguing. He tried hard to become better, to please his parents, hoping to get attention from them. But all he received in return was repeated neglect and indifference."
