"What's the matter?" Morris Jackson asked.
Lyra Smith pointed to the direction of the wardrobe: "I opened that wardrobe."
Morris Jackson laughed softly: "And then?"
Lyra thought to herself that he could at least explain without laughing.
How could she have expected to see her own clothes when she opened Uncle Morris's wardrobe?
And there were quite a few of them.
They were all the clothes that had disappeared mysteriously in the manor.
She had stayed in the old house before, but she had never stayed in Uncle Morris's side room until last night.
So why did her missing clothes suddenly appear in the old house?!
The answer was quite obvious.
"When did Uncle Morris bring my clothes here?" she asked.
Morris Jackson: "A while ago."
Lyra asked in detail: "When was 'a while ago'?"
"When you were not by my side." He said.
When she was not by Uncle Morris's side...
Lyra immediately thought of the time when she and Mikel Anderson exchanged places.
