Speaking was somewhat difficult for Lyra Smith due to the throbbing pain in the corner of her mouth. She desperately wanted to slap Phil Lee again.
If only the slap hadn't come so suddenly, she could've dodged it.
She could be troubled by love and bothered by money, but she would never endure a hit unprovoked.
However, someone had hit her, she would hit back just the same.
Phil Lee was extremely angry, losing her self-control and directly lunging at Lyra. Lyra tried to dodge but couldn't avoid entirely, Phil knocked her to the ground.
Phil straddled Lyra and raised her hand to hit her in the face.
This scene happened too fast and was too dramatic. After all, neither Jenson Wright nor Phil's assistant could have anticipated Phil's wild behavior.
Lyra shielded her face with her elbow, and Phil's hand struck Lyra's arm instead. "Lyra Smith, you really don't fear death, do you? How dare you fight back! You'll pay for this!"
