Lyra cried and Hector knew he shouldn't ask further, nodding to indicate, "No problem, there is a car coming to pick me up later. I have plenty of time so I can give you a ride home."
Lyra clasped her hands together, "Thank you! Thank you!"
Hector glanced at Tim, who was standing nearby.
Was Tim deliberately snubbing his sister-in-law?
His sister-in-law said she wanted to leave the manor, yet no one arranged a car for her, nor even mentioned it. It was too strange, and if Tim was treating his sister-in-law so coldly, did Morris know about it?
Hector felt something was off!
But this strangeness was difficult to describe specifically.
With how much Morris cared for Lyra, who in the manor would dare to give her a hard time?! Moreover, Morris had gone to live in the old house and hadn't even told Lyra. Her reaction just now clearly showed that she didn't pretend not to know; she really didn't know.
Could it be that Morris is tired of her?
