The next day.
Lyra Smith came to breakfast with two dark circles under her eyes, appearing rather worn-out.
Hector, while having his breakfast at the table, glanced at her and asked in surprise, "Didn't you sleep well last night, sister-in-law?"
Lyra walked over and sat down. Initially, she hadn't noticed Hector sitting opposite her. It was only when she heard his voice that she realized he was eating breakfast there. Tim was at the side, pouring milk.
Propping her chin with her hand, she looked washed out. Her voice even sounded weak, "I'm fine, I just have a bit of difficulty adjusting to a new bed."
Hector looked even more surprised: "You have difficulty adjusting to a new bed here?"
Lyra: "..." Uh...
Did she have her wires crossed? Why would she say she has trouble adjusting to a new bed? In Hector's view, she should be staying here frequently with Morris Jackson and yet, she was telling such a fib about adjusting to a new bed.
