The hospital was around ten minutes away.
From the time when Erwin Jackson had gotten into the car until now, he had barely spoken a word. He had rested his head on Lyra Smith's shoulder in a semi-conscious state, sometimes finding it so comfortable that he would lean even closer into her.
Lyra could initially tolerate him leaning his head on her shoulder, but as time passed, it felt as if Erwin was pressing more of his weight onto her. Suddenly, Lyra straightened up, causing the drowsy Erwin to lose his balance. His head fell onto Lyra's lap.
Watching this, Aiman exclaimed in shock, "Lyra, are you okay?"
Lyra shook her head, saying, "I'm fine."
She held his head with both of her hands, trying to lift it. Upon doing so, however, she realized how heavy a human head could be.
