——Erwin, do you like me?
——Hmm.
——Erwin, will you always like me?
——Yes.
Back then, young Erwin gave her such a certain response, but now how come it doesn't count anymore?
She didn't find Master Eddie and planned to leave when she ran into a group of people coming towards her.
Everybody was holding breakfast, and someone was talking beside them. Lyra heard clearly that the person was calling out to Master Eddie.
"Master Eddie, soy milk, soy milk." The person handed the soy milk to Master Eddie.
"Master Eddie, today's scene forty-seven is a fight scene, and I think we still need a stunt double. I also chatted with Erwin last night on WeChat, this fight scene mainly needs to be smooth in the long shots, and it still needs a professional stunt double to complete."
The person being called Master Eddie, holding two fried dough sticks in one hand and the hot soy milk just handed to him in the other hand, took a bite of the dough stick and sipped the scalding soy milk.
After hearing what the assistant director said, he agreed and nodded, "Okay, arrange it according to what you said, you go and communicate with the stunt side."
Other staff members followed behind, all holding breakfast, walking into the set.
Lyra seized the opportunity and went over to introduce herself: "Hello, Master Eddie, I am an actor recommended by Martin Jenkins, he asked me to come to the crew and find you this morning."
Lyra's interception made everyone stop and look at her.
Master Eddie took a sip of soy milk and asked, "Looking for me?"
Lyra immediately replied: "Yes, Martin Jenkins asked me to come to the crew to find you, he said there is a role missing in the crew."
Master Eddie asked her, "What role are you auditioning for?"
Lyra was stumped by the question. She didn't have time to ask Martin Jenkins before hanging up the phone. Other than being told to come to the "Bright Moon" crew this morning, she wasn't given any other information!
"You don't even know what role you're auditioning for, and you came looking for me right away. Do I look idle to you?"
Seeing Lyra not responding, Master Eddie grumbled some unkind words, continued biting his fried dough stick and walked away.
Obviously, he didn't take Lyra seriously.
Lyra was about to catch up, but the assistant director who had been with Master Eddie earlier came back. Lyra's face lit up, and the assistant director asked her, "That's our director, he doesn't handle casting matters, I am the assistant director, so tell me, what role are you auditioning for?"
Lyra hesitated: "Are there several roles missing in the crew now?"
"More or less, some are still pending." The assistant director spoke quite gently and patiently, probably in a good mood early in the morning.
But Lyra really couldn't answer what role she was auditioning for, as Martin Jenkins didn't tell her. Moreover, she only had experience as an extra and had no formal acting experience, making her believe that she could join the crew by finding Master Eddie.
Seeing Lyra hesitating, the assistant director became somewhat speechless: "Well, you can go back and figure it out before coming back."
After saying that, he also turned and went inside.
Lyra stood silently in place, realizing what Martin Jenkins meant; he gave her a chance, but she had to figure out how to take advantage of it herself. The meal was fed to her mouth but not inside her mouth.
But she had no fighting spirit now and had no mind to fight for it.
She even thought about going back to being a dance teacher.
Leaving Film and Television City, she waved down a car.
Someone came up behind her and patted her shoulder, calling out, "Miss Lyra."
Lyra turned around and saw the person who patted her shoulder: "Secretary Ivan, what are you doing here?"
"It's me." Ivan wore a formulaic smile on his face: "Miss Lyra, where are you going?"
As soon as Lyra heard Ivan ask this question, she subconsciously looked around and didn't see Morris Jackson's figure. She thought, this is Film and Television City, where they film movies, how could Morris Jackson be here?
Ivan's appearance here must be a coincidence!
"My agent called me over. I'm free now, so I'm going back." She said.
Ivan smiled slightly: "What a coincidence, Mr. Jackson is also here. Miss Lyra, would you like to go and say hello to Mr. Jackson?"
Lyra: ?
