Chapter 41 - 4.1

In a small settlement of a hundred people, everyone was getting ready for bed and no one expected the daring attack of the vampires. About thirty men grabbed their pitchforks and stood on the defensive in front of a large troop of white-winged intruders who were brazenly strutting down the main street.

Each family man had his wife and daughters locked up, and the brave husbands prepared to stab anyone who dared to get to them. But the forces were unequal - no pitchfork will help against magical spells. The squad of magicians hypnotized all the defenders and they stood rooted to the spot with a frozen gaze.

Amirel arrogantly walked past them, looking for the desired house where the reincarnated princess was locked. The lock easily crumbled under the blast of a plasma gun, and he entered the spacious sleeping room to the screams of frightened women and children with their hands on their heads. He walked up to the girl with red hair, grabbed her hand and dragged her by force into the street.

She screamed loudly and wriggled, pressing her feet into the ground, but someone stood in the way. Amirel fixed his gaze on the angry Queen of Zaria, his old friend - the reincarnated Arumy. The warlike Erin stood next to her, threatening with a flaming hand.

"By what right do you, Amirel, rule here? This is my Kingdom, I will not allow any violence here. Let the princess go! And get out of here!" She ordered menacingly.

The girl stopped screaming and stared at Kamily astonished. The last words of this beautiful, powerful woman with a blue crown on her head silenced her.

The kidnapper released the girl and, with an annoyed expression on his face, headed towards his squad. The abandoned victim, rubbing her hand, looked in trepidation at her savior, who smiled welcomingly, looking at her.

"Don't be afraid, dear! They won't touch you again," Kamily said calmly. "Why does he need only me?" The girl's voice rang.

There was desperation in her big green eyes.

"You are the reincarnated princess Avilena, and this scoundrel wanted to have fun with you. And I'm, Queen Kamily, invite you to live in the Kingdom of the Syrinxes."

The girl looked at her and the two attractive winged men standing next to her in confusion, trying to comprehend what was happening.

"But my parents are ordinary people, I cannot have such a title."

A woman approached the girl from behind and put her arm around her shoulders.

"You were found as a child in the woods, I'm not your mother, I'm sorry. Most likely, these are your relatives, you are from their tribe, since they came for you. They don't waste words; they would make such a fuss. She looks like the Queen... see, those winged beasts listened to her and left us. Go with them and be their princess, anything is better than being locked up all your life. I wish you happiness, dear," The woman cried bitterly.

"I will free you from lock and key!" Kamily stated decisively.

She came out to the paralyzed men with an appeal:

"Folk! Throw down your pitchforks, unlock your women and set them free! I, Queen Kamily, mistress of the Syrinxes, promise you that no one will dare to invade you again and kidnap your wives and daughters."

The men, waking up, obediently lowered their pitchforks, looking with curiosity at the Queen standing in front of them.

"Are you human? And you command the syrinxes?" Asked one of the older residents, looking with hostility at the two winged ones standing at a distance.

"Yes, I was born as a human and became their Queen."

Residents began noisily discussing among themselves everything that had happened:

"Unheard of! Is the woman the Queen of the Winged? Where did the white-winged ones come from?"

"They are from another planet and won't dare touch you anymore. I'm the Master here!" Her loud voice sounded so authoritative and confident that the residents fell silent, staring at her.

They had never seen crowned heads before. Once upon a time, according to legend, there were kingdoms with rulers and a large population, with developed trade and various crafts, but an unequal war with aliens razed everything to the ground, and the survivors hid in deep woods.

"You can voluntarily join my kingdom for friendship and cooperation. Now there will be no hostility, no violence, no murders, no kidnappings, no opposition between us, I promise you that," Kamily minted every word, trying to convince the residents to trust her.

"Our kingdom has weapons against aliens and if you need protection, contact us. You can convey my statement to each community about our commitment to living in a peaceful and productive neighborhood."

Residents rushed to discuss vigorously her proposals.

"If so, we are ready to cooperate, we ourselves are tired of living like this, but we set our own condition: the syrinxes should not come close to our women and our settlements. We will put away our pitchforks if they stop flirting with our wives and daughters," said the village elder.

"Let it be so!" Kamily affirmed loudly. "From now on, you can come in peace to our city Azaren for help and protection. I welcome each of you in my palace."

The people were talking animatedly among themselves, and Kamily approached the red haired girl:

"Well, have you decided? Will you come with us? Still, it's better for you not to stay here. These shameless vampires only wanted you. It's more safe in my palace. You will live with us for now, if you don't like it, you can return to the village later."

"Ok, I'll try!"

The girl was delighted with the unexpected freedom and ran to say farewell to her adoptive family.

"Kamily, we don't really understand why we need friendship with mortals?" Lariel asked puzzled. "If we can't communicate with their women, there's no point in helping them."

Kamily laughed discreetly, looking at her companions.

"I released the women from the locks, now they will look for secret meetings with our handsome men. The girls of the village saw you and will no longer be able to sleep peacefully."
