"Well, we have changes, - Lariel was indignant returning to the shelter. - The boys won't like this arrangement. I do not believe that the Xantarians strictly follow the regime of the Archons, they probably find some tricks. Look at that arrogant Palien! With such an appearance not a single male's hand touched him?"
"What? Do you like him? - Erin chuckled. - And what about your boyfriend? He will be jealous."
"Don't talk nonsense! - Lariel growled angrily. - I don't have any boyfriend. What's in your head? You know very well who I love! You are just trying to get rid of me! You won't get anything!"
"Ha-ha, I know that you broke up with Tolesio but he suffers I feel sorry for him. I think you're the only one allowed to sleep with guys like a hermaphrodite."
"Shut up! Don't you dare tell Palien about this! Then I'm done if he finds out."
"Okay, I won't tell him, but he already sensed your scent."
"What scent?"
Erin waved it off:
"No worries!"
"How did we live without the Codex before? And without the Queen!"
"Our father left the rules long ago although he knew them. And now Palien is restoring the hierarchy lost here: the Supreme Archon, the Queen Bee, princesses, warriors, creators."
"Princesses?"
"Yes, girls with wings, daughters of the Queen, they are rarely born."
"Why is everything wrong with us and how do you find out all this?" - Lariel was surprised.
"It was before the war started. I remember a past life how many syrinxes along with the princesses and the Queen perished in a sudden invasion, - Erin replied. - Some survived five hundred years ago, but we were reborn again thanks to our father and other men. They settled among the people and took human wives. They built a new skyey city from the remains of the old one two hundred years later but the princesses never reincarnated. Perhaps they were born somewhere as half-breeds but there is no information. They must be sought."
"Why didn't you tell about it?" - Lariel was outraged.
"Do you care about the problems of our race? You are a hermaphrodite and have to bring the kids. You have always been in the dark because of your frivolity and flightiness," - a reproach was heard in his brother's voice.
"It's a shame to hear such an opinion about me."
"And there is. Why do you think I want Kamily to have kids with our brothers? It will help to revive our folk. And you selfishly wish that she belongs only to you. But she is not an ordinary person but a reborn syrinx from Xantari and have to share love with and offspring to each of us. It's her destiny, deal with it!"
Lariel plunged into the work with his head: building a Palace is not a matter of one day. Creating a marble stone for a huge building is a painstaking and lengthy task. He chose a place, drew up a plan and brought to work many creators. Syrinxes after sitting in the dungeons happily began to build the city. Everyone wanted a house to their liking with a large garden and the construction site stretched over a vast territory. They lamented that the new city should be on the ground, it would be more familiar to live in the clouds.
Palien often flew in with a check and meticulously examined everything: statues, fountains, landscaping, the building itself - an exceptional taste was required from an architect.
"Lariel, I confess I didn't expect you to be such a talent. I felt like I am in heavenly Xantari. Artists like you are held in high esteem in my homeland."
Commander admired with a gentle voice when the Palace was almost completed.
Lariel noticed he was always looking at him with curiosity, smiling mysteriously and once he called him privately to the shuttle office.
"Incredible color…" - The Commander deftly grabbed his strand of hair sparkling with pearly lilac, running his fingers along it.
Lariel was alarmed recoiling from him.
"What kind of magic is it?" - Palien's strange smile caused a grimace on Lariel's face.
"All are natural!"
"To attract the attention of men! Also, your floral wisteria scent tickles my nostrils and causes strange bursting feelings in my chest. I know you are a hermaphrodite!"
"What a nonsense! - Lariel was indignant loudly. - I am a man and my son from a woman is proof of that."
"Hmm, but you are also capable of laying eggs. I understand that this information hurts your ego. We have had such unique individuals a long time ago to replenish the population, but they perished in military circumstances and were not reborn. I have to report about your existence to the Archons and take you on a ship to be sent to Xanthari."
"I don't feel bad to live here, - Lariel objected frowning. - I'm not going anywhere with you. Our colony will be against such arbitrariness."
"You're right in a way. Since you were born here, you must give offspring to all the settlers. But still, there are no herms on Xantari yet and the aristocrats will be glad to know you close. You will receive the title of prince and love of fans."
These words angered Lariel even more and he jumped up with a scream:
"Do not be this! Never!"
"Don't get so outrageous, my Prince! I know that you have had many lovers, - Palien said mockingly. - You are very lustful and ready to wallow in intimacy for days."
"Keep in mind that I will not let anyone near me and you too, Commander!"
"I'm not going to harass you at all because I prefer women although I'm sure that you are better than any of them."
Palien sighed noisily.
"This scent! Craziness! You are definitely fertile! And wildly attractive."
His eyes flashed neon green.
"Don't worry, I can control myself. I guess the ban on sex with guys does not work for you."
Palien laughed contentedly at the sight of the enraged Lariel who after his words immediately jumped out of the office.
