"Seth, he's awake!"
As I opened my eyes, I was greeted by both Seth and Kace looking over me. I was out of the labyrinth, nevertheless alive!
"How am I alive? How did I get out of the labyrinth? There was a ho-"
Before I could finish barraging them with questions I was met with warm and teary embraces from both Seth and Kace. They both had sad and regretful looks on their faces but those were overcome with looks of relief rather quickly.
"Kar, I should've listened to you, I'm so sorry. I couldn't imagine what you had to do in that labyrinth."
Seth tried apologizing over and over but I quickly stopped him mentioning how we all agreed to go inside.
As we finished talking, a group of adventurers walked out of the Labyrinth, they were all decked out in heavy silver armor with blue accents, even the support mages. That armor had to have been expensive. There were at least 20 of them. The man at the head of the group, who I assumed to be their leader approached us, anyone could tell that he was strong, he had a broad build, short hair, and was handsome to say the least. He also carried a long spear that looked like it may have been made of gold.
"Hey, your name is Kar, right? I'm Bendholdt, the leader of this party."
"Yeah, I'm Kar, nice to meet you."
He quickly stuck out his hand and I promptly shook it, his grip was overwhelmingly strong.
"I hope you're okay, we barely made it in time."
"Yeah, I appreciate your help, I thought I was done for because of that Hobgoblin."
"Hobgoblin? There were only goblins in the labyrinth, definitely no Hobgoblins."
What? I was 100% sure there was a Hobgoblin in there, after all, I was the one being thrown around the cave by him, I was the one who almost died.
"I think you might still be disoriented, there was no Hobgoblin, you might want to go see a priest."
"Right…"
Something was going on. There was a Hobgoblin in there. Although it doesn't matter right now; I just want to go home.
After being debriefed by Bendholdt; Me, Kace, and Seth made our way back to town and they helped me back home. I sat on a chair and drank the healing elixir that Seth gave me; I tried to reject the offer but he wouldn't take no for an answer. I guess he still felt guilty about what happened at the labyrinth. It only took a few minutes but I already feel better! This elixir really is amazing.

"What was that?"
I must be hearing things, I'll just lay down for a few minutes.

After a bright flash of light, a menu appeared in front of Kar, he was barely able to stop himself from falling over.

The system was persistently asking Kar the same question over and over again.

A bright light suddenly engulfed Kar's body in its entirety.
After the bright light dissipated, a message had popped in Seth's vision.

HOLY SHIT EVERYTHING BESIDES MY INTELLIGENCE WENT UP? If "Rebirthing" actually worked then… My magic!
Kar quickly located his magic menu, scrolled past his other abilities and came across Water Magic.
Theres no fucking way. Water magic? It might only be a copper-tier magic type but that doesn't change the fact that it's my second magic type! Holy shit! I can definit- No, we can definitely become adventurers now! I need to go see Gastor right now.
Kar quickly rushed out his house and ran towards "Gasts' Smithing", a local blacksmith who happened to be Kar's mentor.
He quickly and excitedly rushed through the door which creaked loudly and went inside the forgery.
There was a faint smell of oil and rust.
"I can do that, it'll probably cost around 2 go-"
"Gastor! You won't believe what happened!"
"Woah there Kar, give me a second, I'm working with a customer!"
"Sorry! It's just really important!"
"Alright, go in the back and wait a few minutes, I'll be there soon."
Kar quickly walked behind the counter that was barely holding itself together and sat down in the backroom.
"Kar! What's got you all excited today? Did ya score a date with Kace?"
He quickly and sheepishly replid with a No
"No, No, this may be more important than if that happened! And also you're too old to be making jokes like that!"
"Don't cross that line! Anyways, Spill it! You can't keep me waiting with that excitement showing on your face!"
"You won't believe this but I Rebirthed!"
"And am I supposed to know what that means?
"Sorry I'm too excited! I got a new magic type and my stats went up!"
A smirk washed over Gastor's face as he snickered loud enough for Kar to hear.
"Why are you laughing?? This is serious!"
"I thought it was serious but you sound like you're just saying random shit now!'
"No I'm serious!"
"Tell me how someone gets a second magic type and a stat increase?"
"That type of stuff doesn't change y'know!
"Let's go out back! Ill show instead of tell."
"Alright, I'll humor you."
They quickly rushed out back into the field.
There was an abundance of dirt but a lack of plants, perfect for testing out weapons and abilities which made it all the more useful for a blacksmith.
"Of course you know I have Wind magic, but now, I can use Watermagic as well!"
"Yeah ok sure, shoot some water."
Gastor tried to sound serious but he couldn't hold back his smile or his laughter.
"Don't laught yet, you haven't seen it yet!"
"Alright, alright, my bad! Lets see this water magic."
Kar quickly held out his hand and tried to channel mana into his hand to form a fireball.
"J- Just gimme a sec!"
"Yeah, yeah. You were already crazy before, Kar, this time you might wanna go to a priest!"
Gastor began to walk back into the forgery but then…
FWWWWSH
A splash of water hit Gastor's back, visibly staining his pants and leather vest
Gastor quickly turned around too make sure he wasn't going crazy, now looking at Kar with his own eyes, he stared at him jumping around happily as he shot small blasts of water around the field.
As the thoughts rushed through his head, he fell back onto the now wet ground and stared at Kar with a shocked look on his face.
"Y- You weren't kiding.."
"Told ya!"
"... Look, Kar; listen to me and make sure to do exactly what I say."
"Uh… Okay?"
"Don't tell anyone about this "rebirthing" of yours.
"Why not?"
"That's obvious! It's unatural! The government of Flane will arrest you and use you as a lab rat."
"You might think you'll be fine but the military will definitely want to have this power of yours."
"If they knew you had the power to harness multiple magic types chaos would ensue."
"Just promise me you won't tell anyone. Keep this secret between us."
"Alright, alright, but that won't stop me from becoming an adventurer!"
"Just don't use multiple magic types in front of others and you'll be fine."
"Yeah, yeah old man I got it!"
"Respect your Elders!"
Kar quickly ran back to his house and took a well-deserved nap.
