With a history spanning nearly a century, the Li clan prospered immensely. Although modest during its early days, it burgeoned to become one of the most affluent clans within the City of Green Clouds.
Within the dominion of Green Cloud City, three influential clans held sway. Foremost among them was the Li clan, which had ascended to prominence within the past two decades. The city bore witness to the Li clan's diverse commercial ventures. The remaining two clans, known as the Yun Clan and the Zhang Clan, though powerful in their own right, found themselves continually overshadowed by the Li clan's brilliance.
Among the Li clan's expansive territories lay a secluded valley. At a cursory glance, the valley emanated an eerie silence, almost devoid of human habitation. However, upon closer inspection, a lone figure stood poised at its precipice. This young man exuded an air of tranquility, his form almost frozen in stillness. The valley's breeze tousled his long, ebony hair while his white robe fluttered gently in its embrace. Sunlight graced his countenance, lending an ethereal radiance to his already striking features.
As the breeze swept toward the young man, even falling leaves surrendered to its force. To onlookers at a distance, the scene resembled a painter's depiction of an immortal's realm.
Seemingly lost in thought, the young man's gaze traversed the distant horizon. An undercurrent of maturity graced his already handsome visage. Eventually, his gaze lifted, a crease forming on his brow as he observed the encroaching darkness of gathering clouds.

He sighed and was about to return to his lonely residence situated in the middle of the valley when an irritating voice came from behind him.
"It seems you're making the most of your leisure, Li Yang. Just because the family pays you no heed doesn't grant you license to live within the clan as a freeloader."
Approaching was a youth of similar age. Li Yang's expression soured at the sight of this newcomer. Clad in an opulent black robe, this youth's appearance stood in stark contrast to Li Yang's exceptional allure. However, it was the calculating gleam in his eyes that gave him a disconcerting air.
Li Yang ignored him and walked towards his residence, which infuriated Li Zheng. The boy opposite him was always calm, which made him look inferior to others.
"You... very well, just wait until I become the next clan head." "I will tear down your pathetic home as well as expel you from the clan like a dog, you bastard."
The boy walking towards the residence suddenly stopped.
"What? Now you want to fight me? "You, a useless cripple?" Li Zhen was happy that he got the usually calm boy to react. His handsomeness would be useless if he were disabled.
The boy in front of him slowly turned around. The black eyes were sharp, and the atmosphere around him plummeted as if hell had frozen over. Li Zheng was unable to breathe. All he could see were those two eyes that looked at him like an insect that was about to be crushed.
He took two steps back in fear, and the atmosphere returned to normal.
Li Yang slightly narrowed her eyes and spoke very slowly.
