Kai stands in the middle of the road, and a woman with a keen ear holds a sword poised just an inch from his face. Kai gazes at the weapon without blinking.
Kai is astonished when he turns his head and sees Sara effortlessly taking the blade with her two fingers.
"What's going on, Kenny?" Sara asks. With a sigh, "I'm eradicating him from this world." Kenny states firmly. She's the same height as Kai, with glossy blonde hair and green eyes filled with rage whenever she looks at him.
"Can you please stop this? He's the adventurer, or should I say player, who accepted our request." After Sara finishes her sentence, Kenny sheaths her sword.
"Sorry I just lost my temper and I can't believe you request him to accompany me in the quest". Kenny said releasing a hmmp at me
"Don't judge him too quickly he is more talented than you think he is and I acknowledge his strength". Sara said making a serious face
Kenny twisted her head, assessing Kai, but when she tried to refute Sara's assertion, she sensed a pure and thick mana from him, even purer than herself. Then she gazed into his eye and noticed a gleaming pink eye that was as lovely as a moon and could easily capture people's attention.
She was even more startled that his eye has no mana but is still shiny, which makes no sense.
"Do your eyes always look like this?" Kenny inquired inquisitively, which perplexed Kai.
Then Kai lift his head upward and slides his hand and finger between his hair making a handsome pose and said.
"I can't blame myself for being so handsome". He said after seeing this Kenny mouth twitch
"You and Sara are from the same breed huh, narcissist". She said while clicking her tongue.
"Jealous are we huh". Both Sara and Kai said at the same time while making a dashing pose
"What can I even say I am so handsome that even women are jealous of me". Kai said narcissistly
"Well I get that from every women, why are they always feel jealous it's their fault for not being beautiful". She said showing a look of pity at Kenny
Kenny slap her face thinking why she always have a company of a weirdo can't she atleast once met a normal person and looked at both of them while sighing
"Can you two please stop this and come to point".
"Oh I forgot, you both have to investigate budding forest and if you can please eliminate the threat". Sara said sighing
No one takes this quest and the emergence of the new Adventurers are declining due to increases in death of new adventurers. And high ranking adventures also won't return after taking this quest which put adventure guild's in tight spot.
Now she have high hope for these two adventures one is her friend who is a ranker while other is a genius or a monster she can't quite gasp his strength and his talent but she has a feeling that if she raised him and trained him well he can break his limits and become stronger in a short time. That's much how she value his talent.
And Kenny can also feel the same thing, they both have seen many young and talented player but compared to them he gave completely different vibes and his pure and dense mana can attract Kenny attention which proves Sara right.
After sara explained all the details about the quest she then looked at kenny and asked her
"If you can, will you please take care of him he is a newbie he lack in many aspects".
"Well I can try but if he can't handle it then don't blame me".
Kai was looked at them in a confused manner and thought 'What the hell are they talking about'.
"Well then let's go". Kenny said looking at kai
"Now, but we didn't prepare anything".kai said
"Don't worry with me around nothing serious will happen". She said while sliding her thumb at her neck showing you are dead look.
"OK then let's go". She said again
"Ok". Kai sigh
Sara looked at their departing back with concern in her eye which didn't hide from Kai perspectives.
While they walking in the wood Kai asked Kenny " why that forest called budding forest, can't they name something cool". Which she reply "It because the budding forest was only for new and budding adventures, every new adventurer hunt in those area because that Forest has very low level or weak monster to hunt".
"One more thing I have to asked".
"Go on". She said casually
"Why do you look exactly like kyara". When Kai release the sentence he felt cold and saw she draw her sword at his neck releasing killing intent
"Don't ever mention her name with your smelly mouth". She said releasing more killing intent
"but I brushed today".
Kenny retreat her sword from his neck
"She is my niece and yes she is not an elf".
"One of our ancestors marry an elf due to this some time it can be inherited by descendents even if their parents were both human, it happens sometimes and I am, that unfortunate descendent". She said making a solemn expression
"And for Kenny she my sister daughter and when her mother which is my sister passed away I always take care of her like her real mother. but I don't want to have any connection with anyone when I know they will die before me". She said showing a sad expression which pissed off kai
"I only ask about your relationship why are you forcing me your flash back" Kai thought
"But this year she had an awakened ceremony and unfortunately she doesn't awakens which made her despised by everyone in the family".
"But she didn't give up and said she wanted a normal life being a player doesn't thing and working at adventures". Kenny looked at the sky with smile and turned her head to Kai releasing bloodlust "And you how dare even see her with youe filthy eye's ".
"Excuse me my eyes are more beautiful than yours".
After that she jumped in the tree and stare at Kai with a mocking expression and start running while jumping on the trees and seeing this Kai also started to do the same
He circulates his mana gently in his eyes. His surrounding became more clear and his vision enchanted. When he look at Kenny he saw she circulate slowly but right amount of mana in her foot without any disturbance and changes
"She really is very proficient in using mana, That the advantage of being a half elf". He thought
Kai started to do the same and try to catch up with her but she is more faster than him who is a newbie.
When Kenny saw this, a shock and surprise can be seen in her eye. She know how much hard work she put to reach the level of mana control she is now and he even getting better at every jump. His circulation of mana in his foot become more stable and close to perfect each time he jump and catching with her.
"What a monstrous talent, Sara was right he might become stronger in a short period of time more stronger than me". Kenny thought
Thinking that she turn her head forward and jump in the air and started stepping on the leaves that falling from the tree. every jump is like similar to walking on the air. Seeing this Kai mouth was wide open.
