Chapter 14 - The Kiss.*

**A Kissing Scene Ahead**

As the grand ball continued, a new development unfolded.

A suitor, impeccably dressed and bearing an air of confidence, approached Noelle.

He bowed gracefully and extended his hand, his words laced with charm and admiration.

"Princess Noelle," he began, his voice carrying a hint of seduction, "may I have the honor of a dance with you?"

Noelle, composed as ever, considered his offer with a measured gaze.

She extended her hand, accepting the dance, but her eyes held a glint of caution.

Carl, who had been observing the exchange from a distance, felt a pang of jealousy.

He watched as Noelle and the suitor glided gracefully across the ballroom floor, their steps in perfect harmony.

The dance was a display of elegance, and the guests watched in admiration.

Noelle's partner, skilled and confident, led her with grace and charm.

The suitor's words, though veiled with admiration, carried an undertone of possessiveness.

As the dance neared its conclusion, the suitor's words grew bolder. "Princess Noelle, I must say, your beauty is unmatched. It would be an honor to call you mine."

Noelle's response was diplomatic yet firm. "I appreciate your kind words Lord Max, but I am not so easily won. My heart is not for the taking."

Carl, hidden behind a pillar, clenched his fists in frustration.

The sight of Noelle in another's arms ignited a fierce determination within him.

He couldn't bear the thought of losing her to someone else.

Max, undeterred by Noelle's response, leaned in closer, his words now a whisper meant only for her. "Princess, I am determined to win your heart. You will see that I am the one worthy of your affections."

Noelle's expression remained unchanged, but her eyes held a steely resolve. "I am not a prize to be won, and my affections cannot be claimed through determination alone."

As the dance concluded, Max reluctantly released Noelle's hand.

He bowed once more, his persistence undeterred. "Princess, I hope you reconsider as he is not worthy of you, I can provide you with so much more as your partner."

Noelle nodded politely, her mask of composure firmly in place. She watched as Max retreated into the crowd, disappearing from view.

Carl, still hidden, seethed with jealousy.

His heart ached at the thought of Noelle being proposed by another, and a fire ignited within him.

He knew he had to become stronger, not just to protect the clan's honor, but to prove himself worthy of Noelle's affection.

As the night wore on, Carl was alone in the garden, his mind consumed by thoughts of Noelle and the suitor.

The moonlight bathed the surroundings in a gentle glow, casting long shadows on the manicured hedges.

Noelle, too, had retreated to a quiet corner of the garden.

Her encounter with the suitor had left her with mixed emotions.

While she valued her independence and was not one to be easily swayed, she couldn't deny the tinge of loneliness that had crept into her heart.

Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice Carl's approach until he stood before her, determination etched on his face.

"Noelle," he began, his voice tinged with earnestness, "I won't let anyone else court you. I'll become strong, stronger than anyone, and I'll protect you."

Noelle met his gaze, her eyes searching his eyes for something.

She saw the fire in his eyes, the unwavering resolve that burned within him. Her heart softened, and a small smile tugged at her lips.

"Carl," she replied, her voice gentle but firm, "you don't need to prove yourself to me. But if it's your desire to become stronger, then I'll stand by your side, supporting you every step of the way."

Carl's heart swelled with gratitude, and he reached out to take Noelle's hand.

Their fingers intertwined, and in that moment, their bond deepened. T

he jealousy that had once consumed him now transformed into a driving force for self-improvement.

"You have shown improvement, Carl" she said, her tone still commanding but softer than before.

Carl met her gaze, a mixture of gratitude and determination in his eyes. "I am committed to proving myself to you, Noelle."

She nodded slowly, a hint of approval in her expression. "Then show me."

Before Carl could respond, Noelle took a step forward, her gaze never leaving his.

With a swift movement, she captured his lips in a fierce kiss that left no room for doubt.

Her dominance was evident in the way she took control, her intensity demanding his surrender.

Carl's initial surprise gave way to a sense of exhilaration.

He responded with equal intensity, allowing Noelle to dominate the kiss, to take charge in a way that matched her dominating presence.

The experience was electrifying, a testament to the power of their connection.

As the kiss ended, Noelle pulled away, her crimson eyes fixed on Carl's with a mixture of triumph and desire.

"Remember, Lord Fourth," she said, her voice a low, commanding whisper, "actions speak louder than words."

"I will also be announcing to the world that you belong to me. "

Carl nodded while still being dazed, his heart racing, and a newfound understanding settling within him.

Then in a swift move, he pulled Noelle towards him and kissed her fiercely.

After a minute or so they separated while Noelle was still Dazed.

"Noelle I am not easy and submissive, you have to work hard to eat," Carl said mischievously before leaving.

Noelle's dominance wasn't a challenge to his own power; it was an invitation to find strength in partnership, to embrace a connection that defied conventions and transcended expectations.

Carl felt a bit of embarrassment at how he was dominated by Noelle.

He made a silent vow in his heart to teach that mischievous girl a lesson in the future
