Chapter 2 - Chapter one

Chapter one

Abby opened her eyes slowly, blinking as she tried to adjust to the light. The sun was streaming through the window, casting a warm glow across the room. She sat up and stretched, feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over her. She glanced at the clock on her nightstand and saw that it was already 9:00 a.m. How had she slept so late? She must have been more tired than she realized.

As she got out of bed, Abby couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Something had been bothering her for the past few days, and she couldn't put her finger on it. It was as if there was something just out of her reach, something she couldn't quite grasp. She had tried to shake the feeling, but it just seemed to grow stronger with each passing day.

Abby pulled on her robe and padded down the hall to the kitchen. As she poured herself a cup of coffee, she glanced out the window, taking in the view of the neighborhood.

Abby is a 18-year-old college student majoring in English literature? She's always been a voracious reader, and she has a particular fondness for classic novels like Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man, and that she also loves reading Shakespeare, especially Hamlet and Macbeth. She has a strong interest in the psychology of the characters in these plays, and she often finds herself analyzing and discussing them with herself. She's a bit of a loner, and she spends most of her time studying or reading in her room. Abby comes from a middle-class family, and she's always felt like she doesn't quite fit in with her peers. Her interests and hobbies are different from theirs, and she often feels like an outsider. This has led her to develop a bit of a chip on her shoulder, and she can be defensive at times.

Abby Abby!!!!

It college time already Abby got up and get ready for college since it was her first time she was taken to school by her mother.teacher, Mr. Johnson, assigning a reading assignment. He tells the class to read a chapter from "The Great Gatsby" and write a one-page response. Abby is excited to read the book, but she's worried that she won't have time to finish the assignment. That's when she notices a girl sitting next to her who seems to be very absorbed in the book. The girl is Lucy, and she's clearly a big fan of Fitzgerald's work. Abby feels a little intimidated by Lucy's obvious intelligence, but she also feels drawn to her.

Abby works up the courage to introduce herself to Lucy, and the two girls begin to chat about the book. They quickly discover that they have a lot in common, and they spend the rest of the class period talking about literature, movies, and music. When the bell rings, Lucy asks Abby if she wants to walk to lunch together. Abby is thrilled by this invitation, and she happily accepts. As they walk to the cafeteria, the two girls share their favorite books, movies, and bands. It's clear that they've found a new friend in each other.

Abby comes from a very close-knit family, and she loves spending time with her parents and siblings. Meanwhile, Lucy's home life is less than ideal, and she often feels lonely and isolated. So, when Abby invites Lucy to spend the night at her house, Lucy is thrilled. It's the first time she's felt truly welcomed and accepted. This only deepens the bond between the two friends. As time goes on, Abby's family begins to see Lucy as a member of the family. They invite her on family outings, and they include her in holiday celebrations. For the first time in her life, Lucy feels like she belongs somewhere. This only makes her more devoted to her friendship with Abby. Then, one day, something happens that changes everything. While hanging out at Abby's house, Lucy sees something that she wasn't supposed to see. It's something that will shake the foundations of their friendship.
