Fang Xinyi looked at Assistant Su as if he has grown two horns.
Assistant Su is so scared seeing his Madame expression.
"Missus, get in."
"Get in??. I'll make sure I treat that scum a lesson." She got in and Assistant Su followed suit and zoomed off.
But that doesn't stop her from fuming in anger.
Assistant Su is fed up with all of her complaints coupled with the fact that he didn't want her for his boss but his opinions doesn't matter. Assistant Su glared at her through the rearview mirror. He preferred the young lady of the Zhous' family for his boss. But there's nothing he could do.
Fang Xinyi saw Assistant Su's glares at her. And her atrocities towards him flashed through her mind.
She made Long Chen fire Assistant Su in her past life claiming that he tried to molest her whereas it's not true.
She's pretty sure that if he could remember the past, he would have killed her.
She quirked at that thought.
"This is so silly." She said aloud.
Assistant Su parked the car at the underground parking lot.
"Sorry for the troubles Assistant Su." She bowed and ran off.
"Is she okay?" He asked no one in particular.
"I don't think she is."
Fang Xinyi barged into Long Chen's office without knocking on the door.
"What rubbish is this." The client Long Chen is attending.
"Miss, don't you have any etiquette? Don't you know that you have to knock before you can just barge into someone's office." The haughty man questioned her.
"I'm sorry." She said feeling embarrassed looking at Long Chen's for help.
"Mr. Zhou, I'll advise you to mind your words. The person you are talking to is my wife." Long Chen said angrily.
"So, she is the one you abandoned my daughter for. What a shame!!." The man said
"What is Mr. Zhou trying to insinuate?" Long Chen asked suppressing his anger because Mr. Zhou is a good business partner that he doesn't want to lose and at the same time, he can't afford to see his wife being embarrassed.
Fang Xinyi just stood there with her head down feeling dejected, angry and ashamed as Mr.Zhou abused her.
"I don't even know why you'll abandon my daughter for this dead girl." Mr. Zhou said and walked out of the office angrily..
"Everyone believes that I'm not suitable for you. And they are right, it will be shameful for you to spend your entire life with a lowlife like me." She looked at Long Chen with her watery eyes and ran out of the office.
"Sh**." Long Chen mutters under his breath and chased after her but couldn't find any traces of her.
He ruffled his hair,loosened his tie looking around whether she could be on sight. But he couldn't find her
Lan Liying stares at him in confusion oblivious of what is happening.
Lan Liying approached him.
"Boss, what's wrong?" Lan Liying looked at him in his disoriented state.
'Wow, he looks hot." Lan Liying drools
"Have you seen Fang Xinyi?" He asked her.
"Yes sir."
"Where." He asked anxiously.
"I saw a moment ago talking to a man, they both hailed a cab and drove off." She lied.
"Are you telling me the truth?" He asked her suspiciously, not believing her words.
"Yes boss." She said not batting an eye.
"You can leave." He waved her off and she went back to her office feeling satisfied and happy that she has successfully made Long Chen have another thought about Fang Xinyi.
Long Chen ruffled his hair and went back to his office.
Long Chen picks his phone to call Fang Xinyi to confirm his suspicions.
"The number you are trying to call is not reachable at the moment."
He then dials the butler number.
"Is my wife home?" He asked him.
"No, she's not home. Is something wrong." Mr. Zhang asked worriedly.
"No, call me when she gets back."
"Ok young master."
'Could it be true? Then why did she act like she's hurt only for her to go out with her man friend.' He mused.
It's right for him to get angry, no man could tolerate being cuckolded.
He's so angry that he could kill anybody right at that moment.
While Long Chen is fuming in anger, Fang Xinyi is sitting down in a nearby restaurant absentmindedly lost in thought.
'Am I not compatible with Long Chen. Why is everyone opposing our marriage? Why is it that no one wants us together? Will I be his downfall like they said.' She mused.
The same thing happened in her past lifetime which made her hatred for Long Chen intensified. Is it her fault that her parents forced her to get married to Long Chen in order to expand their business.
She sat there blankly. Deep in thought and sad not knowing that the time has passed away.
"Miss!."
"Miss!!!."
The waiter called her but no response. She jolted back into reality until he tapped her.
"Yes." She answered.
"The restaurant is closed for the day."
"Oh thank you." She said and stood up.
"Miss, if you are facing any problems. Brooding is not the problem. You should try and look for solutions without thinking. Over-thinking causes depression." He advised her.
"Thanks." She walked out.
She feels refreshed and relieved after hearing the waiter's words.
She hailed a cab and went straight home.
"Madam, you're back. Boss has been worried about you." Butler Zhang said to her.
"Oh." She replied and went upstairs
Yu Jia, the head maid, scoffed seeing her reaction.
"Very rude." She mutters.
"You should mind your words." The butler warned her and went to call Long Chen.
"Young Master, Madam is back home." Butler Zhang relayed.
"Ok,." He replied angrily and cut the call.
It's already late and Long Chen is not yet home.
Fang Xinyi is already worried. She puts on her night coat to cover her short nightwear and she went downstairs
"Is Long Chen not coming home?" She asked Butler Zhang
"Yes, Assistant Su called in to report that he's going to be working overnight."
"Ok thanks." She said and went upstairs.
She picks up her phone to call him. The phone is ringing but no answer.
'Maybe he's too busy.' She thought band went to bed.
