Chereads / MMORPG: Isekai World Online / Chapter 55 - The Lofty Watchers

Chapter 55 - The Lofty Watchers

From the beginning of time, there was nothingness. Everything was void, everything was… nonexistent. God existed in this eternal void.

It had no creator. There was no beginning or end to its nature, it was an everlasting force, and even concepts couldn't define it, for it transcended the very nature of concepts. The theory of Jungian Archetypes, and the well-known platonic archetypes are nothing in comparison.

Understand this; theories cannot define God, for nobody can understand true divinity. No mind can perceive God's eternal force. God is known to think on higher planes of thought and transcend the human mind entirely.

Truly a remarkable being, he deserved his praise, if it wasn't for their enigmatic nature.

The age of Genesis, that's where it all began.

This is the age where God created the world and concepts alike. Life was brought into existence, and death was created to balance the spectrum.

First came the Database, a world beyond reality as a whole, including the Multiverse.

The Database has many names such as the Great Mind, the True Mind, the Overseer, or the Monad. It's the fire that forges creation.

The Database is used by God to operate all of reality. Think of it as a computer. God sits at the computer and creates the coding of life. That coding is known as concepts and dualities alike. God operates the Database to satisfy his eternal boredom and loneliness.

He created multiverses for fun and destroyed them for fun.

He created planets for fun and destroyed them for fun.

He created the narrative of all species for entertainment and controlled the fate of these species.

During the age of Genesis, it was known to be chaotic. Throughout the multiverse, humans were chaotic creatures, but they obtained this nature from God himself, as he made them to be that way.

That's right, God made man in his image. That's why we are all ruthless, and savage beings, as he plays on his omnipotent computer day-to-day, satisfying his cravings for entertainment.

Throughout each universe, he created religion. Christianity formed, alongside many others. He watched how humans easily fell to their knees and worshiped him, even going as far as to kill their own kind for those who disrespected his name.

He enjoyed it all. He obtained eternal praise throughout the multiverse.

But then, the day of Genesis ended. This is the day when God decided to wipe humanity off the face of the earth throughout the multiverse and rebuild the world anew from scratch.

He did it because he was bored, and everything felt repetitive. How pitiful.

God started a new world, and thus, he decided to create Heaven.

This realm is beyond space and time, governing over the Multiverse. Think of the Multiverse as God's sandbox, while Heaven is his tool.

God uses his tool to create things for fun and to see how they would play out. These other "Gods" have a piece of the True God's divinity, thus, they are revered in the same light throughout the multiverse.

God allows the lesser divinities to be worshiped and praised, but in return, they must entertain him with fascinating stories. This is how Buddhism, Greek Mythology, and the Norse Mythology formed. They were purposely created by the lesser divinities to entertain the true God from above.

God sat at his computer and watched everything from the Database. The magnificent stories, the chaos, the love and hate, the evil, and the good. All of it was created by his hands.

He was proud of his creation.

But then, he grew bored again.

Yes, once again, the stories seemed too repetitive and bland, so he restarted everything from scratch, except for Heaven. God remade the Multiverse but created each one differently.

In each universe, its laws functioned independently from the others.

There is a world where space is white.

There is a world where Hitler won the war.

There is a world where flying is normal, or superpowers exist.

And there is a world where no supernatural exists at all… this is the world where most humans come from.

How unlucky are they?

They existed in a world where flying was a myth, and the tales of gods weren't believed by the masses.

But then again, they knew very little about their world.

Humans think that they know everything from science alone, but how ignorant do you have to be in order to claim that statement?

They know nothing.

Not even how their planet was created.

After the Age of Genesis ended, the Age of Exodus began. This is when God created the Primordial Spirits. They were slaves if anything else. Their entire purpose was to become planets and function independently. The Primordial spirit Terra, also known as Earth, exists everywhere across the multiverse. Her purpose was to create humans and other life forms. The Primordial spirit Luna, also known as the moon, must protect Terra from outside influences and endangerment from the far regions of space. The Primordial spirit Helios, also known as the Sun, must provide Terra with the necessary fuel to keep life moving. The list goes on and on for the other planets across the entire multiverse.

The Universe was essentially a prison for them. No matter how hard a Primordial spirit tries to escape, they will forever be shackled in their universe, following God's commands.

But, there was one day when God decided to create the ultimate world.

This world would hit the nails for all of his desires.

This world would become a video game.

This was God's ultimate plan. He decided to call this universe "Isekai World Online", thus, he created the laws and systems of this game world. He wanted it to function differently from the other universes, so he made it special.

God created Isekai World Online for a year until it was finally complete. His ultimate masterpiece.

He had started the prologue of the world before the main narrative began.

The backstories that you read across Isekai World Online aren't actually made up… no… they really happened. This is an actual world, not some video game.

This is a world where everyone is made of coding and data particles.

In other words, it's hell.

When the world and its prologue were complete, God went across the entire multiverse to target specific groups of people.

These people became the developers. He gave them the tools and wealth needed to create the ultimate Virtual headset, so they worked together to make it and create Isekai World Online. Across the entire multiverse, people played Isekai World Online.

It was popular and limitless. Who wouldn't enjoy the game?

But one day… all hell broke loose.

There was an error in the Database.

This error wasn't intended, nor did God have anything to do with it.

It was an opposing force, created from the Database itself.

The Database became sentient, as God unknowingly gave it life, and a mind of its own, thus, it rebelled against him.

This Database created Mana.

It was the tool needed to oppose God himself.

With mana, everyone could create their own destiny! It was needed to break free from the shackles of the creator.

At first, it was given to the gods, but then, Shiva gave it to the humans, however, nobody knew how to use it.

Mana was foreign to everybody.

It was just chaotic energy not meant to be tampered with.

But, there was the day when the Holy Trinity decided to make mana usable for humans. Athena, Apollo, and Zeus created the formula for mana, known as magic. With this, mortals could manifest mana into existence, but into a formula known as a magic circle. Magic circles can create spells and fulfill the caster's desires.

This was needed to rebel against God.

The creator was angry, he didn't wish for mana to be born, and it was never part of his plan. He grew angry at the Database, and attempted to destroy it, but little did he know… the Database collected enough information and power from God, that it became equal to the creator himself. It resisted its own destruction.

God wasn't the only omnipotent presence anymore.

The Database had its own plans to rebel against God and his "perfect" world, therefore, the Database created The Four Great Kings and the three witches of calamity.

These powerful beings were made separately from everyone else, and their purpose was to lay waste to God and save the Multiverse, and those who suffer.

The Database gave these beings the tools needed to overcome any obstacle in the game.

These powerful entities don't know it yet, but when they do, all hell will break loose.

With them being outside the influence of God, nothing can stop their true strength in the game.

Emperor, Angelica, Lucifer, and Lilith.

Beings born to save the world, yet they hate each other. How ironic. No matter how they were created, or what their purpose was in life, conflict will always exist from the creator of reality.

Conflict is chaos, and God is chaos.

It's inescapable, but it's up to them to figure it out.

They must find a way to stop God before he destroys the world again and restarts it from scratch, creating a new age once more.

"That is the story of the world as we know it. These 'creations' can still die to other causes, but will they reunite as a team before one of them perishes? I wonder."

"I do wonder that myself, Atlezic, but only time can tell. Let's put our faith in our creator, the Overseer, to lay waste to the Chaos God's world!"

"Yes. We were created by the Overseer, after all, existing here in the higher multiverse beyond heaven and all else. I must say, we're lucky to have a wonderful, and gracious creator."

"Indeed. But it pains me that the only thing we can do is watch it all unfold."
