The sun rises as the sky reflects on the beach. A glare passes through the window hitting Teo right in the face. He wakes up knowing that today is the day. Excitement like it's his birthday today, flowing through his face. "Today is the day! Capture the Flag!"
Outside the University, all the students from 6th period are outside. "Today we will be doing something different," Mr. Lopes says. The classmates wonder what they will be participating in. Then he shouts out the three words. "Capture the Flag!"
Why are we playing a child's game? Michael thought.
He tries to walk off thinking that it's a waste of time. However, Mr. Lopes stops him before he can go any further. "You can leave if you want, but this is an assessment. If you choose to not take it you can get kicked out." Michael grinds his teeth, slowly making his way over back to the crowd. As a storm was hovering over his head, his eyes were filled with anger and irritation. After that, Mr. Lopes explains the rules to those who have no idea what the game is. "In addition, you are allowed to use your abilities. Whoever's flag holds up the longest wins," the teacher said.
"We will begin with teams."
(Team A: Tori, Micheal, Ein)
(Team B: Issac, Peter, David)
(Team C: Malachi, Lisa, Zane)
(Team D: Daniel, Maira, Teo)
(Team E: Jean, Akemi, Christ)
As the game is about to start, Ein pulls Teo to the side. "Don't let your emotions get the best of you," Ein said. Teo with a gentle smile tells Ein not to worry and walks away. However, Ein struggles to believe that what he said was true. So he responds to Teo's comment with enough gentleness and concern. "Just remember, if you are not going to do it for me, at least do it for Tori," Teo began to tremble due to the fear of losing. Everything can be gone with just a trigger. Ein's words hang in the air, expectant with unspoken layers of meaning. Teo sits alone in his thoughts with a profound sadness building up like a shroud. He then hesitated, turns around to his brother, and says, "It's okay."
All teams at their post are ready to start the competition. "On the blow of the whistle you may begin," Mr. Lopes said. Focused on the tension of the situation, the teacher soon blows the whistle. Capture the Flag now begins. With each tree blocking the entrances, all students run deeper into the forest.
Meanwhile, on a different spot on the globe, a man with purple eyes is void of obsidian. This man used to be Zach but now is corrupted within the demon's spirit. On a boat, the demon possessing Zach is heading toward a new location. Within the mind of the demon, you hear a faint yet quiet voice. Though inside the mind, was a chained vessel. "Where are you going with my body?" Zach asked. With little strength he has, he pulls on the chains making the sound of thunder. The demon was confused about how Zach was able to have this much strength even after no longer possessing the Ultima. Then in a sarcastic tone, he eventually replies. "You're lucky that I have not killed you. Your spirit is filled with untampered raw power that not even you could have understood. That is why until I find the Ultima, you will be my host for the time being. I am barely able to hold you in my custody right now. But as soon as I take more lives, I will be able to harness more of your untainted power."
"So what will you do once you have the powers of the Ultima?" Zach asked. The Demon snaps his fingers and reveals a mysterious-looking door on the ground. "I am going to open the Gates of Hell where all the fallen angels are buried. Once opened, their corrupt souls will scour across the world feeding on the innocent. I want to see the creator of this world bleed." He has waited for so long, just to turn the planet into hell. "So, those soldiers that tried to arrest me, they were possessed?" Zach questioned. The Demon begins to laugh at Zach's amusement. "They were killed and are now under my control." The mind begins to shift into empty space. A quiet space of a monster and a man locked by chains. "So where are we going then? I know for a damn fact you are not just going to charge my son in the state that you are in. Teo can easily engulf you in flames and send you right back to hell." Zach said. The Demon eventually becomes irritated by Zach's remark so he responds. "We are going somewhere that you know has plenty of powerful Elementalist." The Demon said. "And that is..." Zach said. "Where else than the GFC headquarters,"
In the middle of the forest, Teo begins thinking of what Ein told him. "You must hold back, even if you are just having fun," Ein said. Maria's loud voice wakes Teo back into reality. "So what's the plan?" Maria asked. Teo knows that he wants to go for other flags. However, he puts himself at risk of leaving the flag unguarded. Remember, Teo could easily guard the flag by himself while Maria and Daniel went for the others. But that won't cut it for Teo because he wants to have fun. "By the way, Daniel is still sad, is he okay?" Maria asked. "Yeah, he's fine," Teo said. He walks over to Daniel and tries to comfort him with a warm smile. "Why don't we quickly talk about our abilities."
"I guess I'll go first. I am a Fire Elemental. I can manipulate flames and even regulate my body temperature. I shouldn't be the one to protect the flag because if I get in contact with another person I could potentially destroy our flag." Daniel is shocked at how powerful Teo is. "What about you Daniel?" Teo asked. Daniel quickly turns to Maria. She shrugs her shoulders and says, "Don't look at me, I'm just a werewolf." Daniel shifts his hand as it begins to freeze. "I can control ice," Daniel said. Teo face glistens in excitement with stars beaming in his eyes. "You're an Ice Elemental? Awesome!" Teo shouted. "So wait, how far can your ice travel?" Daniel slowly creates a smile replying to his query. "About 6- 7 yards, if I try to do more my body will be immobilized," Daniel said. "That is still a lot. I think it may be for the best that you take the flag. You can use your ice as a defense mechanism." Birds soared on the wings of the strengthening current, their feathers ruffled in exhilaration. As the breeze began to build up, granting them newfound freedom in the vast expanse of the sky. "Man it's sure getting colder," Maria said. Suddenly, the realization of the wind building up put them all on guard. As the leaves moved violently, they begin to wonder, "Where is this strong wind coming from?" Daniel looks up into the sky with a good idea of who it is. "Wind huh."
The wind begins to rapidly speed up as Micheal appears from thin air with Tori and Ein following. Tori uses a "Hydro Pump," but Teo easily reflects it. Teo tells Maria to grab the flag and run. Daniel sees Teo's skills and then looks at Micheal. Teo and Daniel back off to have a quick chat. "Micheal is a Wind Elemental." "So what's his weakness?" Teo said. "Wind Elementals are normally on the defensive. With the help of their advanced speed and being able to easily wear down their opponents. Micheal, on the other hand, fights very aggressively. His elemental power doesn't suit his fighting style." Daniel began to remember the pain he was put through yesterday. "Don't let that man weigh you down, he is not worth it," Teo said. And yet after the things Micheal has done to Daniel, he was broken. "The next time you see him and you have the opportunity, make sure to whoop his ass," Teo said. Daniel begins to feel anger and is fueled with revenge. He immediately springs into action and begins a full-out offensive on Micheal. Ice crashing through the sky makes things difficult for Micheal to maneuver. Micheal grunts at Daniel for pushing him back. His supercilious attitude made things more difficult for him. "Hey, this is payback bitch! COME AT ME!" Daniel said.
Meanwhile, there is this secret building, known as GFC (Guardian Forces Commission) headquarters. Elementals, Werewolves, and every kind of trained personnel are at this location. An officer walking outside the building began his daily inspection. Then before he could even turn around, he sees a purple beam of light heading straight toward him. The man fell to the ground on all fours. Not only can a demon take upon many forms, but also conjure different forms of magic.
Magic is accessible to all. However, evil chooses to use rather cruel forms of magic. More specifically, Dark Magic. The kind that would turn an innocent child's soul into a wicked and demonic glare into the heavens. This form of magic is essentially used for malevolent actions. He proceeded to absorb the soul from the corpse as it began to rot. Soldiers began to shoot at the Demon. But the Demon was not only fast but powerful. He used his magic to manipulate the soldier's bullets in thin air. The Demon began to murder each soldier in proximity one by one. A soldier who was presumed dead slowly got back up. His face was covered in blood, staining his uniform all the way to his shirt. He turns around and shot him in the eye. However, the eye suffered no form of damage. The soldier backed up in fear questioning if Zach was even human.
Saundra's having a meeting with other staff members hears an alarm. The alarm declared that the man was a rouge elemental. But this so-called man was no longer human. Saundra helps escort one of the office personnel to a helicopter across the hallway. But on the other side of the hallway was The Rouge. "Zach, you are not a rogue elemental," Saundra said. But this is no longer Zach as the man has become a corrupted soul. Within Zach's mind, he sees his wife. "NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! Do not kill her please." But the Demon was ignoring Zach the entire time. The Demon was here for souls to fuel his power and that included his wife.
Meanwhile, Tori is hiding behind a tree, trying to get Teo's attention. "Alright Teo, Come Out!" Teo then catches Tori by surprise and begins to rush her. He releases fireballs at her, but she deflects them with a splash of water. The clash of fire and water leads to a massive fog on the battlefield, then throws her off balance by sending a blast to her face. However, Tori was able to dodge Teo's attack but barely. Teo punches in mid-air, sending straight to the ground as large clumps of dust begin to form around her. He then pauses, realizing that he may have put way too much power behind that.
Shit! That was way too much. Teo thought.
"Hey, are you alright Tori?" Teo asked.
Behind the smoke, Tori was standing without any injuries. This makes Teo confused, knowing that anyone he bombarded would have been impaired. "Tori?" Teo asked concerningly. Tori then charges right at him and was prepared to land a punch. Teo easily blocked her punch, but the damage has already been done as she left a mark on his arms.
"Damn Tori, you can pack a punch," Teo said.
What the hell was that? That should not have done that much damage to me at all. Not to mention, she was able to easily push me back with that one punch. he thought.
They both nodded at each other and continued attacking. Slowly but surely, they went from using their elemental powers to a mix of hand-to-hand combat. Tori is so strong that she can push Teo back with ease, but Teo can effortlessly replicate it without using full power.
Daniel faces Micheal as they both give it their all. "Your powers are shit! You can't beat me! Give Up!" Micheal shouted. Daniel grunts his teeth and yells back, "Would you shut up already? You're really pissing me off!" He shoots a beam of ice and aims it toward Michael's eyes. He dodges, but in the process, he grazed his arm. "You wanna die?" Micheal asked.
Daniel remembers speaking to Teo and Maria before the fight. They were talking about a plan of attack. "When you face Micheal, create a giant ice barrier that even goes beyond the trees. I will see it and help assist you for a short amount of time," Teo said. Daniel uses that tactic and creates a massive ice barrier. "What the hell was that supposed to do!" Micheal said insultingly. Then in the distance, Teo is seen running towards Micheal with Tori following him. Teo kept Tori off his back and then caught up to Daniel. With Teo and Daniel backs together, he yells. "Switch!" Teo, now going against Micheal, begins attacking him. He is shooting flames toward Micheal while he uses the wind to reflect it. However, the fire was way too much for him and he was easily exhausted by it. Micheal was already having a difficult time against Daniel, now he can barely defend himself from Teo. Teo then exchanges sides with Daniel again. "I'll leave it to you," Teo said. "Right!" Daniel shouted. Teo begins to think about Daniel's comment earlier. "I thought he said he can only control his ice about 7 yards. But I was mistaken, he has better control than I thought." Teo said. Now facing Tori, Teo explains himself to her. "Sorry, I just had to help my teammate with something. I am sure you understand." Maria with the flag and Ein in front of her. "Uhh, do I really have to fight you?" Maria said. Ein felt insulted by her comment but quickly ignored it.
As they begin fighting, so does The Demon. Saundra struggles to try to keep up with his unrealistic attacks, however, she quickly grabs hold and begins slowly accelerating. "I swear if you hurt her I'll…" Zach said. The Demon immediately responds. "Or what, you are under my control." Saundra begins using her elemental abilities and creates a firewall. The wall separates the Demon from her. "I think it is time I get serious. You should as well if you want to live," The Demon said. The Demon began to carry on with laughter. As he uses dark magic to form a battle axe. The only kind that can kill deities. Saundra with concern in her voice begins to think.
How did Zach get possessed by a demon? she thought.
She then sighs with discomfort and says out loud. "No matter what, I have to remove you from existence. Meaning, I have to get serious as well," She then proceeded to summon the Wings of the Flame. A technique only angels can use, making Saundra a diety. With the ability to use magic as well. The Demon showing no remorse tells Saundra to die. As he rushes through the flames and clashes with the Angel.
Ein was able to defeat Maria rather quickly. "No fair, you're just way too strong," Maria said. Ein replies with zero emotion on his face. "You just suck at fighting." An explosion is heard in the distance. "What the hell is that?" Maria question. Ein in shock looks toward the explosion and sees fire. "Teo," Ein said discreetly. The power that is exerted by Teo and Tori is astonishing. Tori pushes Teo back once again, this time in a river. Water splashes into the air and then starts to come back down like raindrops. He immediately jumps out only to attack her like he is about to use a flamethrower. But before it even happened, Mr. Lopes blows the whistle and tells them the game is over. "Ein retrieved the last flag and their team was successful," he said.
Saundra was able to push the Demon back using her infused flame magic. The Demon would swing his battle axe so wide. He begins to get desperate and uses corrupted magic. Purple tentacles begin to surround her attempting to immobilize her. He then eventually distracts Saundra long enough to stab her with the axe. Saundra paused, but the Demon was not finished with her. the Demon continued to repeatedly stab her. Saundra's mind begins to separate from the body.
Damn, I wish I was given more time. I've played my part, now it's your turn to do yours. She thought.
Red stains were left throughout the room from the fluid. The Demon began to laugh for Saundra. He sees Saundra's bright red soul, an orb with flames burning on all sides. Then the Demon grips the soul, devouring it whole, becoming one with the fallen Angel. Now with the death of an angel, The Demon has enough power to go against the Ultima. Zach begins to mourn inside the mind holding both the Demon and himself over his wife. He cries with all the evil resting on his shoulders. "I'm sorry Teo, Ein. I could not save your mother. There was nothing I could have done. And I watched." Then, The Demon looks into the sunset seeing the darkness approaching. He creates an evil-looking, demonic smile, with tears dripping from his eyes. "The age of elementals, werewolves, deities, they will all burn, and the only ones that will survive are those willing to turn our world upside down."
