In a quiet yet shady space, Zach wakes up to being bound in metal chains. Two members of the GFC appear to be guarding him. Zach immediately knew that he needed to do something and was thinking of a way to escape. But before he could, a man walks into the room with a mask covering his eyes. An anonymous man somehow being able to strike fear in such a power advisory. "Leave us," the anonymous man said.
The two soldiers began to leave the room. Zach immediately knew that this man was in charge. "Why would you detain a higher official," Zach said. The man removed his cloth mask revealing his face. With his purple eyes, he began to explain to Zach that he captured him for power. More specifically the power of the Ultima. But before Zach can comment on the man's explanation, dark magic begins to appear from the man's palms. The magic starts to absorb any power left by Zach. The man soon realizes that Zach no longer has the powers of the Ultima. "I am of no use to you. So what now." Zach said."Oh, but you are, you still carry the strength of the Ultima even though you are no longer." the man said.
He begins to torture Zach with purple lightning coming from his fingers. "I'm not going to kill you, I have other uses for you." The man began to show a darker side to his ultimate plan. As he uses dark magic to manipulate Zach into his grand scheme.
"Welp, First Day being at University," Teo said. They knew their first step onto school grounds would soon be their last. However, they have no idea how soon that would occur. Everyone heads off to their classes on their first day. Everything moves rather swiftly yet relaxing. "Finally time for my 6th period," Teo said. As we walked into the classroom he was surprised.
Ein, Tori, and Maria were in the same classroom as him. They looked at each other in shock, surprised that we would spend class together. "I know this is genuinely nice to have, but this is so unrealistic," Maria said. "Especially that eyesore." Teo was confused about what Maria was saying. Then a point in the right direction would make much more sense. Maria pointed her finger behind her facing the same guy who made a scene at the restaurant. Teo was even more shocked to think he was here as well. "Yep, the same person that got his ass handed to him," Maria said. "Someday the words that come out of your mouth will soon return to karma," Tori said. Maria thought she was joking and almost laughed at her comment. "Oh, c'mon you cannot say he deserved that," Maria said.
Maria is the type of person that does not give a shit to fight but would if someone mentally drained her. "I'm gonna apologize to him," Teo said. Maria was shocked by what Teo just said, so she immediately protested. She wants him to not apologize to someone like him. "He did call Ein and Maria animals," Tori said. Teo, not listening goes over to him so he can apologize.
"Hey," Teo said. He immediately saw him and then told him to buzz off. "Sorry about my friend, I'm Daniel." he introduced himself. "Hello, I just want to apologize for my inappropriate behavior at the restaurant," Teo said. Daniel told Teo his name is Micheal, but as soon as he said that he went all defensive. "Who said you can tell him my name," Micheal said. "It's alright, but I would also like an apology for disrespecting my friends," Teo said. Micheal, confused, soon realized who he was. The same person who made him look like a major fool at the restaurant.
Even though he just said that you were not paying attention. Daniel thought.
So he began to mess with Teo and his friends again. "Oh, and what if I don't give you an apology," Micheal said. "Those dogs deserved what I said." Maria, fueled by his toxicity immediately gets triggered. "You better not be talking about me!" Maria said. Ein tried to calm her down saying it is not worth it but she would not listen. Pointing at Maria, Micheal continues to talk about them being werewolves. "I mean it, you mutts are incredibly insane animals," Micheal said. "That is my brother you are talking about," Teo said. Micheal looks at Teo and a brief pause in the air soon makes him laugh. "You're joking, he is your brother, I don't know what's worse. Being a werewolf or being related to one." Micheal said.Teo and Micheal continue to argue as if they are both fueling up a volcano waiting to erupt. "I give up," Teo said.
As Teo is walking away Micheal grabs him by the arm telling him that he and Tori are even worse than pathetic werewolves. "Are you kidding me, you and that bitch hanging out with them?" Micheal said. "You must be a werewolf since you love them so damn much." Gripping Teo's arm, even more, his hand was soon burned to the temperature of Teo's body. Teo being so pissed says in a furious, yet calm demeanor. "I am no werewolf, and even if I was I would still beat your ass." "Augh, you bitch! I'll kill you!" Micheal said.
The teacher soon slams the door wide open seeing a commotion in his classroom. "What the hell is going on in here? In your seats now!" The teacher yelled. Everyone is now in the classroom sitting down prepared to learn as a normal class should. Everyone is ready to start a normal day at high school. The teacher tells them to call him Mr. Lopes. He started his lesson with the basics of using Elemental powers. Explaining the main sorcery behind elemental powers and the physical characteristics of werewolves. One of the students began to fool around in his class. "You may know how to use them, but you don't know the history behind them. Our powers all have a legacy since the beginning of mankind." Mr. Lopes began to change the lesson to tell his students an old fairy tale.
"There were these three consisting tribes, the nomadic humans, elementals, and werewolves. A woman apart from one of the Elementalist tribes traveled too far from home, and was searching for her way back all night."
Sounds familiar. Maria thought.
"She eventually collapsed due to nausea. One werewolf found her and decided to bring her back to their tribe. Over time the two fell in love and had a child. This child was the world's first Ultima. After this discovery, we come to find out that there were dozens of Ultimas during that period. But over time, social Darwinism began to spread between elementals and werewolves. Finding them superior over another, an Ultima would soon be seen as a monster. This eventually lead to a war between elementals and werewolves. Rumors have it that devils were the cause that lead to the end of the Ultimas' extinction." Mr. Lopes says
"So who won then," Tori asked.
"No one wins in war. But this does lead to a theory. People still to this day believe that Ultimas still exist. Studies conclude that there are only three Ultimas left in history. These Ultimas are the ones that have played the biggest role in our history and not surprisingly, the most powerful beings in history. The Ultima of Creation, Ultima of Destruction, and The Elemental Ultima." the teacher said. The teacher also mentioned that angels and demons played a huge part in the grand war. Silence soon fills the room in the classroom.
As Tori was taking notes she cut herself with a piece of paper. But then soon realizes that the cut was healed instantly. She knew she had a paper cut but questioned if she had one."Do you believe that Ultimas still exist?" Teo said. "Good Question." Mr. Lopes said. Silence soon filled the room once again as everyone was intrigued to know the teacher's answer. But before the teacher can say anything the bell rings. "Ask me tomorrow after the lesson." Mr. Lopes replied. Students began to slowly leave the classroom.
Whispers begin to spread around the school as the rumor of the Ultima could potentially still exist. They begin having lunch in the cafeteria. Teo is anxious about hearing these rumors. He is hoping no one catches onto his secret. "Teo, you look like you have seen a ghost," Tori said. Coming to the realization he is fine they continue to eat in the cafeteria. Then in the corner of his eye, he sees Micheal walking outside the school suspiciously. "I'll be right back," Teo said. He gets up from the table and begins to follow Micheal.
As Teo steps out of the building, he is shocked by what he sees He sees Micheal beating up who he assumed was his friend Daniel. Teo is shocked by this and can't believe it. "No one told you to give him my damn name," Micheal said. Daniel begins to cry as his friend becomes his enemy. "What happened to you?" Daniel asked. Teo immediately gets himself involved again. Micheal wants to fight even though he got pummeled by him. "I am not going to fight you, but beating someone over their name, despicable," Teo said. He helps Daniel back into the school building.
Half an hour when Teo and Tori are walking towards their final period. "Let's Go! Final Period," Tori said. As they are heading towards their final period, Teo asks Tori a question. "How would you feel if the Ultima was real?" Teo said. "I would be amazed that such a high-order being would exist in today's world," Tori said. Teo, confused at why that was her answer, continued to push on for more information. "You would not be afraid about what the Ultima could potentially look like?" Teo said. "To me, it just sounds like an alpha werewolf. Not saying I have a problem with werewolves being superior to elementals, but it does seem hard to believe that there was a time when one werewolf was as strong as the gods." As he is in relief they head over to their classroom. They open the door and see that their Spanish teacher is absent. Both are in shock wondering if they have the right classroom.
Then an administrator walking toward the classroom told them that they have a free period since he is not in today. As they are walking outside the classroom they are wondering what they should do. "Why don't we look around? I mean, we are literally on an island," Tori said. They spend the rest of their period at a boba tea restaurant.
Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the globe. We see an old office building with a helicopter on top of the roof. A man is heading onto the helicopter. The man who used to be Zach was surrounded by darkness. His eyes are purple with the void, as cursed as crying obsidian.
