Chapter 34 - Sweet Girl

These past weeks with Philo, he didn't have to explain too much. They understood each other perfectly. They were the same in many ways. Two selfish people taking from the other, and for a moment he wondered if it could continue. Was there a way they could be or remain like this, to have each others bodies and nothing more.

Will he be too much? But she had seem quite okay with keeping things that way. Maybe relationship isn't her thing, not everybody is cut out for it.

Could it be that she felt caged before now, and the little excuse she found, she took it immediately without clarification.

Chester was willing to stay this way if it can make her stay. He was willing to take anything she is willing to offer. But his ego wouldn't let him say it, his big fat ego wouldn't let him confess how he feel to her.

Once again, he recalled their steaming encounter at the garage. Even though the situation was far from funny, he had almost smiled back in Philo's car as he pulled his torn shirt on. But then reality hit him, This just couldn't continue, at least not while they were in the office or it's environ. He was her boss, she was his employee, and he has already broken about a hundred corporate rules not to mention moral ones. And as much as the idea of using each other for sex seem to appeal to them, it wasn't advisable to keep at it, or maybe they can. He might need to talk to her about it, hear her own opinion. But of course, he also have to be ready for more slaps and maybe a harassment suit.

Chester shook his head, willing for a clear sense of reasoning. Even though they didn't consider each other friends, or even like each other very much at the moment, he could never put her in that kind of position. They have already put themselves in a dangerous situation. What If someone had seen them in their careless moments, well he couldn't even think of that.

He recalled her facial expression when he told her what they had, can't repeat itself ever again. He knew instantly that he was in trouble when her facial expression hardened. And when she told him to get the hell out of her car,

he was expecting her to react in such manner. In fact, knowing Philo's temper, he expected more.

But then, he didn't want to leave. He knew what she meant when she agreed to come for the dinner. She was indirectly saying that she was going to meet Richard.

Chester was brought back to reality by the sound of his cellphone, ringing. Jumping slightly, he rushed up his shower and stepped into his room quickly. He picked his phone to find out his caller was Aldine.

"Not right now...." he murmured. Knowing well enough that she would never stop calling until he picks up.

"Aldy." He spoke into the phone.

"Chesssssss." She sang in her usual manner. "You're still coming over for lunch right?"

"Yes, I'll be there in a couple of hours. Tell my pumpkin that I'll see her soon, alright."

"I will." She replied. "Although you will meet my absence. A little emergency came up at the store. An influential client want to meet me in person. Something about a collaboration." She explained.

"Oh, that sounds nice. You won't be missed though. I'm only coming to see Clari, not you." He said playfully.

"Whatever." She giggled. "Anyway, I made some food and they all packed in the freezer. Have your brother defrost them first before heating them up. Please ensure he press the defrost button first. " She pleaded.

"Yes ma'am."

"So, will your fiancee be joining us for dinner on Sunday?" She asked.

"Steven!!!" Chester screamed, causing Aldine to laugh uncontrollably.

"Well, for what it's worth, I literally forced it out of his mouth. He didn't want to tell me. He was willing to keep your secret."

"Oh really, you must have pointed a gun to his head." Came the sarcastic reply.

"Oh, don't be like that Chessss. I promise to keep your secret safe too. Aldine said. "Hubby showed me her social media pictures and damn! That girl is glass. Skin, beauty, height, smile, body! She is someone's prayer point right now, believe me. She reminded me of Melissa, but a brighter and conservative type of her. So, is she coming though. I just want to know what to expect." She asked.

"I don't know Aldy." He said smiling. "I remember she has this thing planned for the weekend. She won't come." He said.

"Okay then. See you at dinner Chesss.," She shouted before hanging up.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid Steven." Chester exclaimed, upset.

He knew that it was only a matter of time until their father get the news. His brother and wife are likely to share the news at dinner on Sunday with the excuse that family shouldn't keep things from each other. He sighed.

But seriously, he had to consider doing something about his entanglement with Tania, before it gets late. Tossing his phone back onto the bed, he took a good look at himself in the mirror, and smiled.

'Such a handsome man.'

He really needed to end the crazy stuff he's been involving himself and Philo with. Oh wait, he ended it the other night at the garage. So, that part of their relationship was literally over and they would have to continue seeing each other each day and keeping their distance.

'Not a problem, I could do that.'

Walking over to the wardrobe, he picked a loose short and singlet. His eyes caught sight of Philo's underwear. He decided within him to let of them the coming week.

'But why not now? He had no idea.'

Closing the wardrobe, he wore his clothes and bounced on the bed. He was determined to have a relaxing afternoon, with no intruding thoughts of chaos throughout.
