Boom…

Praveen was thrown backward and crashed into a tree.

"Cough… Cough…"

Praveen coughed up several mouthfuls of blood and knelt on the ground, wearing a painful and sorrowful expression.

The guy who was holding Sakina in his embrace retracted his leg and looked down at Praveen mockingly, saying, " Commoner, know your place ".

"Cough… Cough…"

Blood trickled from the corners of Praveen's mouth as he moved his hand to wipe it away. He then turned to gaze at Sakina and asked, "I don't care if that herb can cure you or not. As long as you're okay, I'm happy. You love me, right? Come to me, Sakina."

"Tsk… tsk… Praveen, did you really take my acting seriously? Why don't you urinate on the ground and take a good look at your own face? How could you believe that I would fall for a low-class idiot like you?" Sakina said sarcastically.

"Sakina, cough… Cough… Have you forgotten the life we promised each other? The names we decided together for our future son and daughter, the places we vowed to visit together in our lives, and the life goals we agreed to pursue together?" Praveen asked, tears streaming down his face.

"Ptui… Disgusting. I never cared about the nonsense you said to me, and all the promises I made were fake. You're delusional if you think I'd share my life with a commoner like you," Sakina retorted with a disgusted expression.

"Muah…"

That guy planted a passionate kiss on Sakina's lips and said, "Baby, well said."

"Young Master Fuku is flattering me," replied Sakina, her cheeks flushed as she leaned against his chest.

"Haha," Fuku laughed heartily and tightened his grip around Sakina's waist.

"Sakina, I loved you, and I even risked my life just moments ago for you. How can you do this to me?" Praveen asked, leaning against a tree with lifeless eyes in his face.

"So what if you loved me or not? What does it have to do with me? Young Master Fuku is a genius and also the son of the town lord of Folk Town. Your life is not equal to the shoes worn by Young Master Fuku. Young Master Fuku, let's go," Sakina declared, turning around and walking away from Praveen.

Fuku turned to Ronin and said sternly, "Brother, you best mind your own business and don't be a busybody if you want to live a few more years."

Ronin simply replied, "Oh," and didn't bother to look at Fuku, instead turning to Praveen, who appeared as though his soul had escaped from his body.

Fuku was irritated by Ronin's behavior, but he knew he was no match for him. He gritted his teeth and walked away with Sakina.

Ronin released a long, sympathetic sigh.

"Brother, never trust a girl in your life until she risks herself for you, because girls only care about their needs, not about your love. Your love won't fulfill her needs. Learn to live a selfish life from now on," Ronin advised, using his energy to heal his injuries and slowly walking away from the scene.

"In the novel, he became an evil cultivator and massacred both Fuku and Sakina, along with their families. Then he was hunted by Jin Zhao and became his stepping stone. His name spread to other continents, and his damn popularity rose even more," Ronin thought, furrowing his brows as he remembered the contents he had read in the novel.

So now Ronin helped Praveen, confident that Praveen wouldn't tread the path of evil but would instead focus on becoming an outstanding cultivator in the human continent.

It didn't take long for him to reach the village where others were waiting for him, and he rejoined them.

"Brother Ronin, why did you take so much time?" asked Xu while holding Ronin's hand.

"I will tell you everything you want to know when we are resting," Ronin said, gently patting her head. Then, he turned to look at the others with a stern expression. "I will deal with other bandit groups that we come across on our journey. Everyone, just act weak and don't get involved in my fights. Just watch the events that are going to unfold before your eyes."

"Hmm," they all nodded in agreement with Ronin's words.

"Let's go," said Ronin, and they continued their journey toward Shell City.

They did encounter many small bandit groups, but Ronin didn't spare a single bandit and ruthlessly killed each one because every bandit deserved a fate worse than death.

"Grandmother, he's a good and kind-hearted guy. You said he's a demon, a very powerful one at that. Still, he saved so many lives in just two days. He doesn't hate humans, and the people around him are all humans," the young girl said while looking at Ronin, who was cooking a barbecue for the little girls.

"It's rare to meet a guy like him. If it were me, if our beastman kin went through what demons went through at the hands of humans, I would have massacred every human in sight," the old woman said with a stern expression.

"Me too," said the young girl, nodding her head in agreement with her grandmother's words.

"It's just that I don't know how these people would react if they found out he's a demon disguised as a human," the young girl said, her face filled with curiosity.

"They all know who he is," the old woman replied while eating the barbecue in her hands.

"They... They know?" exclaimed the young girl, her face showing shock.

"Because the affection in their eyes for each other is not an act but comes from the depths of their hearts. They clearly know each other," the old woman explained while taking a bite of meat.

"Grandmother, you know so much about human behavior," the young girl said appreciatively.

"I'm your grandmother," the old woman replied, taking another mouthful of meat.

The old woman meant that since she's just like them, what's the use of her age and lifelong experiences?

"Yeah, yeah," she replied, biting her last piece of meat, tossing the bone aside, and rubbing her belly with a contented smile on her face before lying down to sleep on the ground.

The old man took a blanket out of her storage ring and covered her granddaughter with it.

Ronin noticed the old woman taking a blanket out of the storage ring, thinking, "I thought they were using storage pouches till now. I never thought that the old woman had a storage ring in her possession. Their background is not simple. As long as they don't have any malicious intent towards me, I don't care about their background," Ronin thought, furrowing his brows briefly and then relaxing them once he finished pondering.
