"Shoo...shoo,"
The young merman said contemptuously, his eyes filled with disdain as he ignored the mute little mermaid girl.
"Aaa...aaa...aaa..."
The little mermaid girl tried to hold onto his knees, begging him for money. Annoyed, he shook his leg, causing her to be thrown backward and crash onto the ground. Her knee was injured and bleeding, and her already torn clothes were further damaged.
She wailed, but no sound came from her mouth. Tears streamed down her dusty face. The old merman searched for the little mermaid girl, but couldn't find her no matter how hard he looked.
"Huye...Huye..." The old merman cried out her name, panic evident on his wrinkled face.
Hearing her grandfather's voice, she turned to look at him and slowly stood up, despite her bleeding knee and hand. She dragged her body towards her grandfather.
