John squinted at a sentance written by the system in Fine print.
{Complementry wound healing will be granted upon completion of upgrade.}
John smiled. This was even more convinet. Although he was baffled why the system that always tended to place restrictions on John would be so kind.
~Didn't the system say something about growth speed limitations being removed?~
So that was it. The system was being much kinder to John simply because of the current state of their surroundings. And now he was healed and ready to keep going.
John pulled himself to his feet. There was a small smile on his face despite what he had almost done just moments ago.
Things were diffrent now. He had helped someone.
John stomped out of the apartment building. He marched down the stairwell and then walked through the shattered window that he had entered the apartment from.
John walked out to see a warzone in front of him. There were thousands upon thousands of Trolls. Every one of them was surging towards A pair of people.
Joe and Samantha.
They were single-handedly fending off an army of Trolls and a massive Giant as just the two of them.
But now John could help. As his stat restrictions were removed.
John marched forward. He would start by eating the small Trolls. Then, once he gained enough stat points, he would move on to the larger ones.
{100,000,000 Calories consumed}
{+909 To strength and toughness}
John ate and ate and ate.
{Each troll kills on average 2.2 humans. You've killed 1000 trolls. Therefore for you've saved 2200 humans. +2 free Statpoints}
John grinned. He was now tough enough that Troll's fist literally broke when they punched him. He was now Strong enough that with one hard blow, he could cause the ground to shake. He was an almost infinite wellspring of force.
~Eat More!~
John would gobble Trolls until the battle ended.
{100,000,000 Calories Consumed}
{+909 To strength and Toughness}
John grinned.
"B. O. B." The Troll at the top of the Dragon bellowed.
The slit in the sky squirmed. It began to widen until it was large enough to fit a dragon. Joe and Cassandra just stood back and watched as this happened.
The dragon and the Troll both floated into the sky. It was like the slit in the sky was sucking them up.
And then, in the next instant, the Slit was gone.
{Battle Ended}
{Stat Cooldown reached you cannot consume Troll for two weeks}
John squinted at the Blue screen in front of him.
And he shrugged.
It was worth it. He had gained an insane amount of stat points. So, the stat cooldown was a great price to pay.
"AHH!"
"AHH!"
"AHH!"
"AHH!"
"AHH!"
John watched as Warriors filtered into the battlefield in droves. They tore through the Trolls like a scythe through wheat.
The strange wizard-like beasts and the Dragons had already vanished from the battlefield. Whether or not they had run away or executed was up for debate, though.
Some of the Trolls thought to pick up their guns and shoot at the Warriors. But oftentimes, they would find that they were out of bullets. Or they would shoot one of their Allies.
John joined in on the attack of the Trolls. He was too slow to keep up with the other warriors, so he would pick up Trolls and throw them at other Trolls in the distance. At this point, he was strong enough that the Trolls he threw shattered the Barriers made by the other Trolls.
With just a few throws, he killed a hundred of trolls.
{2000 Lives saved +2 stat points.}
And then it was over.
John stood there. The corpses of Trolls surrounded him. They were all red. The colour of blood.
________ flickered through John's mind.
~I need to bury the body.~
John's eyes grew moist with tears and his lips grew still.
It was time to go back. Back to the cellar.

"YIP!"
"YIP!"
The Red and Blue greeted John with excitement. John looked down at them with a sad face.
"I named you after household appliances. I named you as if you were Jokes. And now one of you has died for me."
John looked over at the Green Dragon's prone form.
"Not only did I kill one of you. I disrespected you when you died."
The Red and Blue Dragon nuzzled against John.
"I'm going to give you two new names. Real names. Because you matter. And I can't keep calling you something so stupid."
John looked to the Blue Dragon.
"I will call you Naos."
John turned from that to the Red Dragon.
"I will call you Neptune."
The names of real people. Not selfish mockeryes.
John walked upon the bloody floor. He walked towards Green Dragon's corpse.
John looked down at the body with a mix of resentment and pain.
"I will forget your name."
John picked up the body. He brought it out of the cellar.
He had money now. More money than he had ever had. So he would pay. He would create a grave so grand that ________ will never hate him for what he did.
A grave so grand that ________ will be glad that they died.

...…
Almost listlessly John followed the other Warriors back to the compound.
John laid with his back against the compound wall. His face was pale and there almost seemed to be a cloud over his eyes. He was looking at the ground. The two Dragons were nuzzled against John. They seemed to be wearing clocks of melancholy as they nuzzled against John.
"John….."
After spending a bit of time in the compound, someone spoke to him.
It was a familiar voice. John looked up. Standing above him was Aria. The woman who had only ever seen him at his worst.
"Is that?..."
Aria paused.
There was a look of horror on her face.
"Is that your pet? The one you showed me." Aria asked
John had seen his past. Almost ended his story. And now the corpse of one of the kindest things in the world was in his hands.
He couldn't speak.
Tears fell from Aria's eyes. She wasn't crying. She was bawling.
She was truly grieving.
All in the name of man she had only seen the worst of.
A sensation grew In John's chest.
A spark.
