The soft glow of the bedside lamp filled the room as Louis gently pushed Verena's wheelchair through the doorway.
He carefully guided her towards the bed, his hands steady and supportive. With a tender smile, he assisted her in sitting down on the edge of the mattress, making sure she was comfortable.
"Thank you." Verena said and reached for her phone and began typing a message to Marcello, her fingers moving swiftly across the screen.
A smile played on her lips as she hit send, knowing that Marcello would be delighted to hear from her.
While Verena was occupied with her phone, Louis quietly excused himself to change into more comfortable clothes.
As he emerged from the bathroom, clad in a simple t-shirt and pyjama bottoms, he found Verena near the bed, ready to change herself.
Louis grinned mischievously as he saw Verena. "Need any help there?" he teased, raising an eyebrow playfully. "I'm quite skilled at assisting damsels in distress."
