Verena smirked, pulled her hand out of his grip, and remarked, "Who told you I would share a room with you?"

Louis raised an eyebrow, feigning surprise. "Oh, really now? And here I thought we were about to embark on a grand adventure of room-sharing."

Verena laughed, the sound tinkling through the air. She was happy to get a room all to herself.

"Well, Mr. Confident, let's not get ahead of ourselves. We might need to establish some ground rules first."

Louis leaned against the doorway, an amused glint in his eyes. "I'm all ears. Enlighten me, Ms. Ground Rules." He informed.

Verena pretended to ponder, tapping a finger against her chin. "First, absolutely no leaving your socks lying around. I have a strict 'socks in the designated sock drawer' policy."

Louis grinned, playing along. "Noted. Socks shall be banished to the sock drawer." He agreed sheeplessly.

"Good. And second," Verena continued, "I reserve the right to veto any questionable wall art choices. No offence, but I have a keen eye for aesthetics."

Louis laughed, his eyes crinkling at the corners. A girl who just came out of prison as an adult knew what aesthetics meant and how to decorate. He nodded his head and said,

"I'll let you know that my taste in wall art is impeccable. But I'll consult you, oh Aesthetic Expert, before any masterpiece graces these walls. Think of this house as yours. You can change anything you desire."

He wanted to put the truth before anything else between them.

Verena crossed her arms, giving him an exaggerated look of scepticism. "We'll see about that. And finally, under no circumstances shall my bookshelf be subjected to any form of colour-coded arrangement. I like my books in a glorious state of organised chaos."

Louis held up his hands in mock surrender. "Consider your bookshelf a sacred zone of disorder, untouched by my organizing tendencies. You like novels or educational books?"

Verena grinned, satisfied. "Novels all the time, but books too. I haven't done my graduation yet, so I would like to learn something from it," she added.

"With these terms understood, we might just survive room-sharing without any major catastrophes in the future."

Louis stepped closer, his expression softening. "Verena, I promise to be the most considerate room-sharer you've ever encountered. No sock casualties, no wall art debates, and definitely no bookshelf reorganisation. Just you and me, navigating this room-sharing adventure."

He already knew about her education, but he would not forget now that she had mentioned she wanted to study. He will try to contact someone to solve this issue too.

Verena's playful demeanour softened as well. "Well, Mr. Considerate, I suppose we can give it a try then." Louis became happy, and his heart beat loudly at the realisation of them sharing the bed together.

However, before entering the room, he heard her say, "But another day... maybe never. I am tired and want to get a good night's sleep alone tonight." Louis's heart sank as he realised that their room-sharing adventure would have to wait.

He understood Verena's need for personal space and decided to respect her decision.

Disappointed but hopeful, he smiled and replied, "Of course, Verena. Rest well tonight, and we can revisit the idea another time."

With that, he bid her goodnight and retreated to his own room, wondering what she would decide tomorrow.

In the midst of a moonless night, Verena found herself trapped within the confines of a sinister, dimly lit prison.

The air was thick with unease, and a suffocating dread settled upon her heart. Shadows danced along the cold, damp walls, and eerie whispers seemed to echo from unseen corners.

"I have never been here." The girl admitted it to herself.

As Verena navigated the labyrinthine corridors of this nightmarish prison, a sense of foreboding grew with every step.

Suddenly, the sound of heavy footsteps reverberated through the air, accompanied by menacing laughter that sent chills down her spine.

She turned around to find herself surrounded by a group of figures cloaked in darkness, their faces obscured by masks of cruelty.

Without warning, the figures closed in on her, their hands grasping at her and their claws digging into her skin.

Verena's screams echoed off the walls as the nightmare unfolded, each blow from the merciless assailants feeling shockingly real.

"You need to die!" another kick. "Die! Die!"

Pain radiated through her body, her cries filling the air as she was subjected to a cruel and relentless assault.

As the torment continued, Verena's strength waned, and her body was battered and broken. Eventually, the figures withdrew, leaving her crumpled on the cold ground.

The last words she heard were, 'You are born to take all the blame. Now you can die.'

Tears streamed down her bruised face as she clutched her battered form, trembling with a mixture of agony and fear.

In the depths of her despair, Verena's tears transformed into a fierce desire. As she looked up through the haze of pain and tears, her gaze was filled with a burning firmness.

With a trembling voice, she vowed, "I will not let you and your minions live in peace. You will pay for what you'll have done to me."

The words echoed through the nightmare prison, carrying a promise born from pain and suffering.

Verena's tormentors might have broken her body, but they had ignited an unyielding fire within her soul.

As she lay amidst the darkness, her vow resonated, a testament to her strength even in the face of unspeakable horror.

And as the nightmare faded, Verena woke with a gasp, her heart pounding in her chest.

The memory of the real dream's torment lingered, but it was matched by the strength of her determination.

In the waking world, she would ensure that her vow would be fulfilled, that justice would prevail, and that Ariana and her minions would know the consequences of their actions.

"Now that I have someone you desire your whole life to have, I will make sure you experience the same pain and suffering you inflicted upon us," Verena whispered, her voice filled with unwavering resolve.

She knew that revenge alone wouldn't heal the wounds of the past, but it was a necessary step towards finding closure and reclaiming her power.

Verena pulled out her uncharged mobile phone and searched for the name on the googlie. Soon, a lot of articles and photos came up about Ariana.

Verena scrolled through the articles, her eyes darting across the screen, absorbing every detail of Ariana's life. As she dove deeper into the search results, Verena couldn't help but feel a mix of anger and satisfaction.

Suddenly, her attention was drawn to an article. Verena, like thousands of other people, couldn't help but open the article to read its contents.
