Third person POV
And so, the entourage of Langton went on that trip to Lewole, Wooda under the directions of Allen and Danica. The trip took 1 day to finish, but that was worth it because by the time the entire entourage arrived at the eastern gate of Lewole, Lloyd, Zeke, Sati, and 2 of Lloyd's subordinates, alongside Camden and Gaia, are present at the gate by coincidence. Albert didn't inform Lloyd about this because he intended it to be an unspoiled peace treaty. So, upon seeing the royal entourage from his former home country, Lloyd and his group were taken aback by this. Zeke immediately commanded the Undead animal guards to be prepared for any attack from them, and the gate guards did so.
"What is this?" Lloyd thought in stunning shock.
The entourage then pulled over at the gate, and Albert, Danica, and Allen, alongside some of their advisors, attendants, and escorts, got off.
Before his escorts would pull out their weapons, Albert gestured them not to do anything offensive, before walking to Lloyd, who was standing at the other side of the gate inside of Lewole.
The man then bowed before him on one knee, and his two children did the same thing, much to the shock of Lloyd and the others at his side.
"Nate…or, I mean, Lloyd…" Albert said to him while getting up, "…please don't attack us, for we will not do it. We're here for something…"
These lines were said with shame.
"Oh, yeah?" Hale responded with some hostility. "If you're not going to attack us, then what do you want us? Huh?"
Zeke then stopped her, saying to her, "Please, don't."
Hale stopped while puffing in anger and some hostility.
"We are here to apologize to you and your country for what we did to you," replied Albert to Lloyd and his group with humility and remorse.
"We are sorry," one of his advisors added with the same expression as his royal master.
"We're sorry for looking down on you and even exiling you for having no magic at all," one of the escorts added with remorse as well.
Lloyd and his group and gate guards were stunned and taken aback by his apology on behalf of his country.
"What?"
"An apology to us?"
"What made them do that?"
Lloyd eventually thought for a bit and then ordered the guards to let the entourage from Langton in. His gate guards did so, and the entourage was allowed in. Some of the Undead animals in the area were stunned and taken aback by them being inside their country. But Lloyd reassured them that the royal entourage had no bad intentions against them, much to their relief. Not long after, Lloyd had forgiven Albert and his entourage and country for their past mistreatment of him, and Albert and his group were stunned that he had forgiven.
"What made you forgive us?" another of Albert's advisors asked Lloyd.
"We did a lot of bad stuff to you," one of Albert's attendants added. "We had compensation for it if you want some."
"It's okay, even though you mistreated me," replied Lloyd back, "I just wanted to hear you apologize to me and stop doing these things to me again. And plus, we don't have that much compensation. Just enough to compensate Bewote."
Zeke liked how his master had that kind of attitude towards his enemies: not too ruthless and forgiving if they were willing to apologize.
Sati and the others were stunned by Lloyd's forgiveness to Langton.
Because of Lloyd's words, Albert and his entourage became happy and felt forgiven. "Thank you, Lloyd," Albert said to Lloyd. "After all, all of the bad stuff we did to you, and to your country later on, are the reason why our country is suffering diplomatically and economically."
"Is that so?" Lloyd asked. "We heard that your country is suffering following the exodus of the families who were ostracized because their loved ones had failed your nation in the raid at Bewote."
"Yes, that one was the cause of our national crisis," replied Albert back briefly and calmly. "Please tell them that we're sorry, too."
"Please apologize to them directly and in person," Zeke responded in objection. "We'll call them to come here."
"Okay, that'll be better, Zeke-san," Allen replied on his father's behalf.
"After that, can we sign the peace treaty?" Albert asked Lloyd as one of his advisors showed him the peace treaty for both of their countries.
"Yes, sure," Lloyd replied back in agreement.
And so, for the next one and a half hours, the ex-Langton soldiers and military officials and their families, alongside the rest of Lloyd's childhood friends and their families, were called by Lloyd to come to the capital's plaza for a 'special event'. Those people from Langton did so, only to be stunned at the presence of the Langton entourage, especially Albert and his children. And then, Langton and his entourage made an official and solemn apology to them for shaming them in front of their nation and promised to pay any compensation. The humans from Langton, known as the Langtonian refugees, were taken aback by this but eventually forgave them because they wanted to hear them apologize. However the refugees refused their offer of compensation since they lacked nothing at all. Albert and his entourage were taken aback but were happy that their act of reconciliation was successful.
After that, Lloyd and Albert signed the peace treaty between their countries, sealing and fixing the rift between them. This was sealed with a handshake by them, and both sides applauded their act. And so, the peace treaty and full reconciliation between Langton and Wooda was a success. So, happy the Langton entourage gave the amount of compensation that was asked by Lloyd and his country, and in return, Lloyd and Wooda gave them some gifts. After that, the Langton entourage left to go back to their home country.
