Azure was taken aback by the beautiful scenery in front of him. It was sunset, the light of the sun turning a bright orange color as the sun descended down the metaphorical horizon.
In the background there were a few lm trees which served as shadowy silhouettes, further amplifying the beauty of the scenery in front of him.
Azure waited for some minutes. He was very surprised to figure out that the average person took more time than him to finish their fights.
He was about to fall asleep when he noticed a figure standing in front of him. His lips curled upwards to form a smirk when he saw the figure standing in front of him.
Axel's looked as if he had just seen a ghost. His eyes widened in horror, his face immediately taking a pale color.
"Enemies do meet on a narrow path". Azure muttered as he stood up, possessed by a new burst of energy. He pointed at the setting sun. "That is a beautiful sight, you know".
Axel didn't know how to respond to the remark. He was well aware that every word that he said was likely to affect his fate as soon as the buzzer sounded. He nodded.
Azure smiled. "That makes this a very nice place for your faux death doesn't it?"
Axel swallowed. He nodded again. There was nothing that he could do. During the second round, he was easily manhandled by Azure and while he was beating up another person. Azure didn't even have to use a bible verse that time.
"You're going to have a long, painful death". Azure said.
Axel was about to nod again, but against his better judgement, a foreign set of words came out of his mouth. "Why?"
Azure shrugged. He didn't hold any grudges over what happened at the illusionary realm. That was just a strategy that he was using. Being honest with himself, it was probably less despicable than what he and Tamra planned on doing.
After considering all these, Azure answered the question with the most honesty that he mustered since reincarnating in this world. "I just don't like your face".
Axel looked as if he was about to shed tears when he heard Azure's reply. He was about to be subjected to unbearable torture and pain and all because someone didn't like his face.
"Azure, Axel, are you ready?" A deep voice sounded.
"Yes". Azure said almost immediately.
"I forfeit!" Axel screamed as soon as he heard the voice. That was his only shot in getting out of here. The voice didn't seem to mind Axel's screams though, the sound of a buzzer reverberated soon after.
"Wait! No!" Axel screamed with all the fervor that he had. "You can't leave me here with him! He's going to kill me!" Axel screamed.
Azure laughed. Wasn't the entire point of the fight for someone to kill the other person. He really didn't see how Axel's pleasing was going to work.
"Don't worry, I'll go easy on you". Azure smirked as he ran towards Axel, his figure turning somewhat blurry.
Axel screamed with an ear piercing crescendo as Azure swung his sword down on him. He raised his own sword in a feeble attempt to block the strike and was shocked when he felt the blade of Azure's sword collide with the blade of his own. His eyes were closed throughout the entire process.
"Huh?" Axel opened his eyes. "I'm not dead". He said, his smile turning arrogant. "Fancy that".
It was only after he said those words that he realized that he was talking to the person after his life, hence his next course of action. He randomly stabbed at Azure, not caring where the sword pierced, he just wanted to cause Azure pain before his death.
Azure furrowed his brows when he saw the sword stabbing towards him. He closed his eyes and jumped backwards. His legs moving in a ninety degree arch upwards before spinning to the side in a one hundred and eighty degree arch, catching Axel on the side of his face.
Axel staggered a few steps backwards before falling to the floor. He had a blank look on his face as if he hadn't fully understood what had happened, then he looked at Azure with wide eyes.
"Fuck!" Axel yelled while clutching his face. "You… you kicked me!" He looked at Azure as if he were looking at a monster. "How did you kick me?!"
Azure smiled and walked towards him, dragging his sword on the floor while walking. He shrugged in response to Axel's question and pointed his sword at him. "Now it's time for you to die".
Axel's face paled. "Wait!" He screamed and scampered to his feet. He pointed his sword at Azure and close his eyes. "God loves us all!"
"We are nothing without the father!"
"God the almighty!"
Azure was slightly amused. "What are you trying to do?"
"I'm gaining sudden enlightenment". Axel replied. He opened his eyes while answering Azure and shut them back when he finished talking.
Azure looked confused for a second before realization dawned on him. "You don't know a bible verse".
"Comprehending one is actually a lot harder than you think". Axel shrugged.
"How did you make it this far?" Azure raised an eyebrow.
Axel smirked slyly when he heard this question. He removed a metal orb from his pockets and threw it towards Azure. "I used this".
Azure looked at the metal orb for a few seconds. There was nothing peculiar about it. He turned it to the side and noticed that there was a flickering red dot on the surface of the orb.
"Shit!"
"Vanity of vanities said the preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity!"
An azure colored mist appeared from thin air and outlined Azure's body, forming a flame like shape while it did so.
Azure threw the orb towards Axel and with a flash, his body appeared behind him. He hid behind Axel, using his body as a shield against whatever was going to happen.
Axel didn't register what was going on. One moment, he had a victorious smirk on his face and the next moment, he saw the bomb that he handed Azure rushing back at him.
He wanted to move, to jump away but he felt something behind him firmly holding him in place. In the end, he only had time for one last swear before he watched the bomb exploded.
Right before his body turned into paste, he squeezed two words out of his mouth. "I-I forfeit!"
Boom!
The bomb exploded. His body turned into paste and Azure's body was knocked quite a distance due to the recoil of the explosion.
"Azure wins!" A calm voice announced soon thereafter.
