"Violence is my therapy!"
Kevin looked stunned for some seconds, then his lips curled upwards into a smirk. "I like you". He unsheathed the two swords strapped to his waist.
Tamra laughed. "I wish I could say the same about you though".
Kevin smiled and tan towards Tamra. With every step he took, he felt pain and fatigue settle deep into his bones. He couldn't stop though, at least not until the match was over.
Four daggers flew out of Tamra's clothes and hovered in front of her. The two daggers that she threw away earlier also flew towards her.
She grit her teeth as her leg as started moving towards Kevin. The four daggers moving ahead of her as they rushed towards Kevin's vital points.
The sound of metal clashing against metal intensified and faded at the same rate as Kevin fended of a simultaneous barrage by all six daggers.
His hands turned into a blur as he fended off all the daggers.
Tamra's figure rapidly closed the distance between the two of them, a dangerous glint in her eyes, as if she couldn't just wait to get her hands on Kevin.
"Spare the rod and spoil the child!"
Immediately she said this, everywhere turned dark. The clouds that seemed to be darker than the skies converged towards a point just above her. They began to move like a black hole, a green glowing ball filling the circular space in the black hole.
The green, glowing orb began to elongate and formed a rod which descended into the hands of Tamra. Without so much as a second thought, she used the rod to whack Kevin with all the strength that she could muster at that moment.
Kevin swallowed a huge chunk of air. He used his sword to knock away one of the daggers and immediately engaged in a full on sideways jump.
The rod hit the floor and broke apart into so many pieces. Kevin met out a premature sigh of relief. He was about to initiate his own attack when the pieces of the rod that broke apart all converged and rushed at him.
Kevin had no answer for unexpected attack, he could only watch as the rod remnants made contact with his chest and flung him back a considerable distance away.
His body skidded in the sand for a few meters before coming to a halt. He felt a sour stinging sensation in his throat. He opened his mouth and spat out some blood.
"Damnit!" Kevin muttered hoarsely. He clutched his chest and stood up slowly. The first thing that he saw was Tamra standing a few tens of meters away, wearing a triumphant smile on his face.
"You're going to pay for that". He said as soon as he felt that he could talk properly. He unsheathed the two swords strapped to his waist and started running towards Tamra.
He swung at her with his two swords, leaving almost no avenue of escape. Tamra's eyes flashed with a murderous glint as two daggers shot at the sword from nowhere, hitting it with enough force so that the trajectory changed and she could afford herself a brief retreat.
"For the wages of sin is death!"
A red mist appeared in front of Tamra. The mist reshaped to form a sword which she held tightly by the hilt. She swung at Kevin who blocked the strike and parried it away. He was about to initiate a counter attack but he was forced to tend to the sudden barrage of daggers.
"Shit!" He muttered. One of the daggers left a small cut on his biceps. Tamra smiled, he snickered. "I know bible verses too".
"For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed, neither hid, that shall not be known!"
The blade of Kevin's swords began glowing with a light brown luster. The silver coat around the blade of the sword started peeling off to reveal two white blades.
Kevin used his sword to block a sneak attack from one of Tamra's daggers. As soon as the sword came in contact with the dagger, the dagger turned into green ash.
"No!" Tamra muttered. She turned her attention back to Kevin and gritted her teeth. Brandishing her blood red sword, she charged at him.
The sound of metal hitting metal reverberated in the open space of the desert. Tamra was forced two steps back after the collision of metals. Kevin smiled.
"You're pretty strong, I admit that. But you see…". Kevin ran towards her and swung his sword at her with all the strength that he could muster.
The light rays from the sun reflected on the glowing blade of the sword, blinding her momentarily. At that moment, she knew that she couldn't avoid the attack. She only closed her eyes while waiting for the inevitable.
'It's beautiful'.
She smiled as she was plunged into a world of pitch black. Although she knew it was only temporary, she wouldn't stop herself from enjoying it as much as she could.
Kevin had a toothy grin on his face as his sword separated Tamra's head from her body. He had a criminal smile on his face as he picked up her head.
"You were right". He said softly, turning the head so that his lips were millimeters away from her ear. "Violence is the best type of therapy".
