Chapter 48 - New Summon

The Great Hall had been decorated by Gryffindor students for Halloween. In general, the decorations were similar, as the props were the same, but the magical sky in the middle of the hall had been transformed into a layer of thick, cloudy skies. Occasionally, amidst flashes of lightning, terrifying ghostly apparitions could be seen.

Countless jack-o'-lanterns floated up and down, but as it wasn't nighttime yet, the pumpkins weren't glowing.

The first-year Gryffindor students didn't know how to use the Levitation Charm, so they were responsible for carrying props into the Great Hall. Hermione was sweating from the exertion, and her forehead was damp, but she had put on some green earrings that made her feel like a whole new person. She seemed to have regained her strength.

After dinner, Hermione headed to her History of Magic class, while Artel had some free time and went to the Room of Requirement to brew Orc potions.

The following day was October 31st, and Hogwarts was preparing for the Halloween feast, and Artel's monthly summoning permissions were due to be updated.

In the morning, Gryffindor and Slytherin had a shared spell class, and in the afternoon, Slytherin had a History of Magic class with Hufflepuff.

As expected, the morning's spell class focused on Levitation Spells.

The spell they learned was "Wingardium Leviosa."

This time, Hermione sat next to Artel and didn't correct Ron, which prevented any conflicts and made the class proceed smoothly.

The only unusual aspect was Artel's feather, which had been transformed into a dart to earn extra points. It even made a crackling sound as it flew through the air, earning him ten additional points from Professor Flitwick.

Hermione's feather, on the other hand, simply floated in the air, garnering praise from the professor but no extra points.

In the afternoon, Artel managed to take a nap during the history of magic class without any mishaps. He found the class intriguing, as it was akin to the philosophy he had studied before, and it left him deep in thought.

As night approached, Artel rested in the dormitory, and the system reminded him that his summoning permissions were due to be updated.

"Today's a special day, fingers crossed! I wish for the best!!!" Artel closed his eyes and made his wish, then selected "Item Summon."

[Ding!]

[Congratulations to the host, the item 'Isil Spar has been successfully summoned!]

Artel raised an eyebrow, puzzled by this unfamiliar item.

"What is this?"

He wondered but didn't notice any change in the progress of unlocking the Lord of the Rings, so it seemed unrelated to the famous fantasy series.

However, after investigating further, Artel was pleasantly surprised. The Isil Spar was a secret eight Palantirs brought to Middle-earth, also known as the "Spar of True Knowledge." The seven Palantirs had the ability to communicate with each other and were used to observe distant lands and communicate with different territories.

The Isil spar, though not the true knowledge spar belonging to Saruman, held a vital role for Artel. When items from the Middle-earth world were summoned, the system would transform them to be more suitable for the current world. After the Isil spar's transformation, it gained impressive capabilities.

Artel could now use the Isil spar to observe anyone and any place, and it wouldn't be hindered by other spells, nor would it be detectable by others.

"Very powerful," Artel acknowledged. He retrieved the Isil spar from the system space and placed it in front of him. With a mental command, ripples resembling water waves spread across the spar, revealing a clear image.

....

In Shelby Manor, Sophia was having dinner with the other servants. In Birmingham Prison, Freddy sat comfortably on a sofa, half-squinting and holding a cigar between her fingers. A woman who looked like a model was busy tending to Freddy, seemingly out of fear.

Artel couldn't help but chuckle. The leader of the Shelby family seemed remarkably relaxed despite being in custody. The woman attending to him appeared familiar, possibly a manager from their family's shopping mall?

Artel wasn't in the mood to scrutinize the scene further. He shifted his thoughts, causing the image in the crystal to transition to a large auditorium where many students were already waiting for dinner.

Hermione, looking bored, rested her chin on her hand and periodically gazed towards the auditorium's entrance. The crystal's image shifted once more, showing Professor Quirrell hastily returning to the castle with a faint smile on his face, as if he had encountered something pleasing.

"Tsk tsk, poor Quirrell," Artel commented as he glanced at the time. Dinner was scheduled to begin in twenty minutes.

"System, start summoning."

[Ding!]

[Congratulations to the host for successfully summoning William Hudgens!]

Artel was taken aback. "Who is he?"

There was no response regarding the unlocking level of the Lord of the Rings. It seemed like a wasted month.

Artel opened the system space and found a massive troll inside.

"Huh? Another troll? Or a troll with a name?"

While there were many trolls in Middle-earth, few of them had their names mentioned. Artel consulted the system's introduction and suddenly recalled the identity of this William.
