Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

"Señorita, it is so late already! If something were to happen to you, the Señores would be very angry, so please let us know where you are" an almost pleading voice can be heard speaking from the phone, making the petite young maiden sigh as she leaned on the balcony railings of the club that she was in.

"We are fine, Arthur. I already told you, we're just going to celebrate Frost's birthday, then we will go home," she said. Her long brown hair flowed gently along with the wind.

"Señor Frost is not drunk, is he? How about Señorita Shaine? She's still with you, right? And you, Señorita, you didn't get into a fight, did you?"

Hannah patiently listens to Arthur, the butler of the Salvador family who has taken care of them since they were kids, as he worries about the possibility of one or all of them getting into trouble.

While doing so, she kept herself entertained with the view outside the club.

"Nothing bad happened or will happen, Arthur. We're fine" Hannah reassured him when he finished speaking.

"Look, I'll go back to our table now so we can finish early. Relax and stop worrying, okay?"

Knowing that the hard-headed young adult would no longer listen to him, Arthur could only sigh quietly in defeat before he said his goodbyes.

"Goodbye, Señorita. Enjoy your night, but please, stay safe" he said before Hannah ended the call between them.

As soon as the call ended, Hannah turned around and opened the balcony door so she could walk back inside the club.

Contrary to the quiet echo of the club's music when she was on the balcony, the music inside the club was so loud that Hannah could feel the vibration of its every beat in her body.

Each step she takes exudes confidence, and despite the high heels of her stiletto, she easily moves through the crowd, arriving at the table where her sister, friend, and cousins are in no time.

"You took so long!" Alliana, her cousin and the younger sister of Frost, whined drunkenly.

The soft cheeks of the maiden were tinted pink, and her lips were pouting lightly, making her drunken state look adorable.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say you big drunk lady," Hannah teased as she lightly pinched Alliana's pink cheeks.

"What took you so long though?" Shaine, Hannah's identical twin sister, asked as soon as Hannah sat beside her.

The faces of Hannah and Shaine look exactly the same except for the color of their eyes, but despite that, the aura that the two of them are letting off is the complete opposite of one another.

While her well-mannered sister has a more scholarly aura around her, the aura that surrounds Hannah seems to be screaming for her wild and fierce personality that keeps catching everyone's attention.

The two of them look so similar to each other, aside from the few facial features, that only their closest friends and family can differentiate.

However, one is a genius, so smart and compassionate, just like a little princess, while the other is a daring beauty, so wild and talented, just like a hero.

"You know how Arthur is. I have to listen to him rant about his worries and advice for a while or else I'll hurt his sensitive little heart," she replied jokingly, which made her sister chuckle a bit.

"Hey, I like Arthur's sensitive little heart," Frost butted in, defending his favorite man.

"I never said anything about not liking it," Hannah said back as she rolled her eyes, making the young man pout as if he were also about to start whining, just like his sister did.

Still, before he could even begin to do so, Hannah reached for a rectangular purple box adorned with a gold ribbon and gave it to him.

"Here's your gift, birthday boy. Happy 23rd birthday," she said, handing him her gift, which almost immediately made Frost stop his attempted whining, and gladly, he accepted his younger cousin's gift for him.

Frost kept a positive expression on his face as he carefully unwrapped the birthday gift given to him, despite thinking to himself that nothing else could possibly surprise him for the rest of the night, given that he had already received numerous different gifts from his friends and family since early that morning.

The blonde man's mind raced with different scenarios of how to react to his cousin's gift for him, but when he saw what was inside the purple box, those thoughts immediately vanished.

His uncertain expression instantly vanished, along with his thoughts of attempting to appear astonished, and a genuine, eager grin gradually crept across his face before he laughed with delight.

"Thank you so much, my little darling! You really know me the best!" Frost exclaimed excitedly as he carefully placed the bottle of 1945 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti wine that Hannah had given him on the table before kissing her on both sides of her cheeks.

Hannah smiled happily, knowing that her cousin loved the gift she picked for him, and when she did so, Hannah's beautiful eyes formed a crescent shape, making her alluring look turn adorable for a moment.

For a wine lover like her older cousin, Hannah knew exactly what to give him.

Frost was smooching his baby cousin's cheeks lovingly when, all of a sudden, a mournful voice from a girl named Olivia broke through their moment, stopping him in his tracks.

"My Prince, the amount of affection you have for my friend would really make me jealous"

Almost immediately, Frost let go of his cousin and turned his entire body to face his girlfriend.

Frost's eyes widened in fear, thinking that his actions had made Olivia upset, but when he saw his girlfriend's playful demeanour, he felt betrayed.

"Don't joke like that, my princess!" He whimpered.

Despite his huge figure, Frost's lips formed an adorable pout as he loomed over Olivia's petite body before burying himself in her embrace like a small child seeking comfort after being wronged.

"Ugh! You two are unbearable to look at!" Alliana groaned, still looking adorably cute despite the frown on her face.

Her displeasure with the public display of affection by her brother and friend was evident in her expression.

"You're just jealous because Olivia has a terrific boyfriend like me," Frost fought back.

He even poked his tongue out at them before giving each of them a mocking look, his stare lingering on his youngest cousin, Shaine, for a few moments, infuriating the young lady.

"I don't know what you saw in a man-child like him, Olivia," Alliana said as she looked at her brother from head to toe as if she were judging every cell in his body.

"Do you want to trade your boyfriend for a better man?" Hannah also suggested, followed by Shaine.

"Yeah, I also know a lot of men who are wealthier than him, and their looks are no less than Frost's. Some of them are even PhD graduates already"

Hearing his cousins and little sister talking to his girlfriend as if he weren't there, Frost gasped in disbelief before he once again buried his face in the crook of his girlfriend's slender neck.

Hannah, Shaine, and Alliana all give him a disgusted sneer as they watch the man whine and complain to his girlfriend about how mean his cousins and sister are.

Frost spends the entire night celebrating his 23rd birthday with his favorite people.

They were all having a fantastic time conversing and joking with one another.

That is until Shaine recognizes the shadow of a certain man, which causes her to smile brightly and bid farewell to her companions to pursue him.

Seeing her sister rush to chase after the man, Hannah cannot help but roll her blue-grey eyes. A hint of malice flashed across her eyes before it immediately vanished as if it were never even there.

"You know you can't keep on hating him, right?"
