Jordy looked at her pleading expression and knew he couldn't refuse her request.
He sighed before finally agreeing to her request.
"Fine, for your sake I'll release them but if they try anything again, no amount of pleading will get them out" Jordy said earning a shocked expression from everyone in the room except Lianne
Wasn't this just the same person who was hell-bent on not letting them go?
Jordy made a call for their son to be released and taken to the Guang family resident.
Lianne thanked him with a peck on his cheek making him smile even more widely at her. He was glad his little wife was gradually opening up to him.
The Guang family thanked them all before leaving for their house after which they would leave the country.
"That reminds me, Xiaomi this is my cousin, Ji Ming. Ahming this is my wife, Mi Ari." Jordy introduced not bothering to introduce his aunt
"It's so nice to finally meet you sister-in-law. At least now I can tell the rest that I was the first to see you" Ji Ming said making all of them to erupt in laughter.
As they were about to leave, Jordy's dad called their attention to something
"Jun remember to bring Xiaomi over soon. We're having a family reunion in a few days, so you should bring her over" his dad suggested.
"Ok dad" he agreed.
For the next few days, Xiaomi returned back to work and finally allowed Min Jun to do so.
Surprisingly, Song Yu and her followers had reduced the bullying. She didn't know what happened and she didn't think it was a good sign. People like them acting like this was bound to cause suspicion and truly they were up to something
About a week later, Jiang Rui made an announcement to the team. She told them that whomever could win a contract with Kim Minho would be given an extra bonus and will become a normal employee.
Her words told them that the only eligible candidates for this was Song Yu and Fu Mi Ari as they were the only interns.
She also gave them a deadline of two extra days meaning they had to win the contract within the next two days. Xiaomi sped into action and began making her proposal for the contract. However, Song Yu just sat gossiping and chatting with her minions
Xiaomi felt something was up but couldn't start investigating as she had a deadline to meet up with. She worked till late in the evening, even skipping her lunch despite pleas from Hye Jin.
By the time she was done with work, the whole department was empty and was startled when she turned and made contact with a rock hard object. She lost balance, closing her eyes she awaited the impact with the floor but it never came.
She opened her eyes and met with Min Jun's. He helped her to stable herself but still didn't let her go.
"I waited for you for lunch, do you still intend on skipping dinner?" he berated her angrily
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to" she apologized with pouted lips.
Min Jun couldn't stand it anymore and immediately kissed her. It wasn't the normal light kiss, this was filled with passion. He wanted to show her how much she meant to him, how much he cares about her through that kiss
By the time he pulled out, her cheeks were completely flushed and her lips were slightly swollen.
He picked her up, carrying her in his arms all the way out of the building not letting her down even once
Xiaomi on the other hand came in contact with his hard muscles once again making her wonder how often he worked out. She realized she was actually beginning to fall in love with this handsome man.
She was too engrossed int he thought that she didn't realize when they both got into the car.
Min Jun placed a kiss on her cheeks making him look at him with a shocked expression. He pulled her into his arms allowing her rest her head on his chest that seemed to be made just for her.
When they got home, Min Jun was about to call out to her when he noticed that she was fast asleep. A small smile graced his lips as he carried her into the house
Although it was too late to close from work, it was still to early for her to sleep with showed that she was truly tired. He took her upstairs and lay her on the bed. He covered her with the duvet and left with a kiss on her forehead.
He asked Song Churan to prepare some food for her and keep it in a food warmer so that when she wakes up, she would have something to eat. He quickly went to eat and then proceeded to do some work in the study.
His thoughts were really true as Lianne woke up some hours later and immediately felt a huge pang of hunger. She went downstairs and was happy that there was food available and she ate before going to the study to look for him as that was where Song Churan said he was.
