About two weeks later, Jordy had finally agreed to let Lianne work in his company as a small intern. He had kept on kicking against it because he didn't want his wife to be bullied and put in harm's way as their situation was risky and so many other uncountable reasons but after so many pleas from Lianne, he finally agreed.
On Wednesday morning, Ji Huan, Jordy and Lianne were standing in front of the huge villa with dozens of luxurious cars lined up in front of them.
It was at this moment that Lianne realized that she still had a lot of work left to do if she were to arrive at the company looking like any other average lady.
"Jay, I can't take any of these cars or they'll suspect my identity" Lianne said calmly to Jordy
"How then would you show them not to mess with you? You're my wife for crying out loud" Jordy said with a cute pout. He couldn't understand why his wife would refuse all these luxurious cars.
Lianne tugged on his arms. "I'm supposed to be low key in all this remember? If they begin to speculate about my identity, then the person we're looking for would be wary of me" Jordy said as though she was trying to explain to a kid about why he needs to go to school.
"But you're my wife. How would they believe you're my wife if you keep refusing all these luxury goods?" Jordy complained still with a pout
"Wait you don't plan on telling anyone about me being your wife, do you?" lianne asked
"Well it's not a lie, is it?" Jordy said
"Jay, didn't we agree that you'll keep my identity secret?" Lianne said
Jordy grumbled but ended up agreeing and Lianne somehow convinced him into letting her ride an electric scooter instead. It took a while for that to happen because Jordy was scared of her safety and all.
As soon as Lianne left, Jordy also rushed into the car and asked Ji Huan to drive fast which he did and they arrived at the office in half the time they were expected to arrive.
Jordy rushed towards the chief designer's office and entered.
To say she was surprised would be an understatement.
"Good Morning President Ji" she greeted regaining her composure.
"Good morning Mrs. Sunny. I came here to ask for a favour actually" Jordy said going straight to the point.
"A favour?" She asked confused. What could she do for the President of Ji group.
"Well I'm sure you've already heard by now that I'm married" he said and continued upon receiving confirmation
"My wife insisted on working here as an intern here at the design department and I don't want her to be bullied or anything so I need you to help me be on the lookout for her"
"Your wife is coming here? Well I'll be more than happy to help, sir." she replied
"Thank you so much. This is her picture" Jordy said showing her one of the pictures he sneakily took when she was not looking.
Mrs. Sunny took a look at it and felt that the lady was oddly familiar but she couldn't place her hand on it.
Unbeknownst to them, a lady was passing by when she heard of this and listened to their conversation. She only left when she heard someone stand up.
Jordy then stood up to leave but paused when he reached the door handle
"Oh yeah, one more thing. No matter what, you cannot reveal her identity to others. Xiaomi doesn't want that" Jordy said and she nodded.
Few minutes later, the news about the President's wife circled throughout the entire design department. Turns out the lady who heard the news was a lady called Jiang Rui, the head of the design department, whose level was below that of chief designer Sunny.
She had spread the news amongst the members of the design department. Now everyone in the department was waiting in front of the building waiting for the President's wife.
Lianne arrived in the electric scooter while another lady arrived in a luxurious car wearing popular branded goods.
The employees mistook her for the President's wife.
"Mrs. Ji you're welcome to the company" Jiang Rui spoke on everyone's behalf.
The lady was shocked at first but seeing the opportunity, she couldn't waste it.
"Oh. I told my husband not to reveal my identity but I guess he couldn't help it" she said giving a coquettish smile
"You what are you doing there? Don't block our Mrs. Ji eyesight" Jiang Rui said to Lianne who felt insulted but didn't do anything about it
This was perfect for her. This way, she could easily find the spy. However, the supposed wife, Song Yu, kept sending Lianne. She abused her power and used it to bully her.
Director Sunny, who was just returning from the meeting stopped by the design department to make sure Lianne was settling in.
