Taking off his gear while looking down, suddenly there's a hand reaching out to take his gear. Without any defense Mio passed his gear, thinking that it was Miyuki who help him out but then this act completely stop all Seido's players action in the dugout.

Hearing Sawamura's dramatic scream, Mio look back only to see Furuya standing behind him. Holding his gears.

Mio's question got Furuya to look disdainly towards him, his face say it all.

Mio was dumbfounded seeing Furuya's face with disdain

Mio plopped down on the bench taking a moment of rest.

Mio glared daggers at Sawamura, the senpai chuckle at the sight of them bickering even though Mio just score.
Everyone know that there's a sense of rivalry among the pitchers but seeing Furuya action left them dumbfounded. Well it's not that they were some enemies but with how Sawamura and Furuya act with each other, they expect that Mio and Furuya will get along the same.

"What ever it is you are Sensen's ace keep that in mind, I don't mind your past with Seido but everyone blood sweat and tears was on you hand. Now show them what you are made of"

Maki take the mound and all his life experience with Seido and then Sensen flashed through his mind. A heavy sigh. Then when the umpire resume the game, Maki mindset completely changed. If before he was adamant on proving that Seido was wrong for not chosing him, now he was determined to redeem himself and win this match.
Only by advancing that he can prove he was worthy. Right now it's not him vs Seido but Seido vs Sensen. With a newfound mentality, Maki's body relax and and a significant pressure that he felt was lifted.
