Chapter 82 - Chapter 81: Reasons

Looking at Aizen in front of him, Yamahiko's forehead broke out in cold sweat. Aizen was indeed present. If it was only Kaname Tōsen and Gin Ichimaru, Yamahiko had a chance to escape.

However, with Aizen here, he was completely outmatched.

Yamahiko coldly asked, "Captain Tōsen, Captain Ichimaru, Captain Aizen, why are you attacking me? What are you trying to do?"

Aizen smiled and asked in return, "Don't you already know?"

Yamahiko furrowed his brows and said, "I don't know what you're talking about."

Aizen looked at him and said, "Is that so? If you didn't know, why did you avoid my Shikai? At your birthday banquet, everyone was observing my Shikai, except for you."

Yamahiko softly replied, "That doesn't mean anything. Maybe I just missed it."

Aizen continued to ask, "Then why did you pretend to react as if you saw it?"

Yamahiko looked at Aizen and countered, "So, Captain Aizen assumed that I knew about your Zanpakuto's ability because I evaded it?"

Aizen smiled and said, "Actually, I was almost fooled by you. After all, your actions at that time were very discreet, and your stature is not tall, making you good at concealing yourself. But you might not know that, at that moment, in the eyes of the others, I was standing on your right side, but you looked to the left and saw my real self. That's when I became certain."

So that's how it was.

Yamahiko's face darkened. He had made a good disguise at the time, but he had overlooked that what he saw might not be Aizen's real location.

Aizen then said, "You know the true ability of Kyoka Suigetsu and how to avoid its illusions. But within the entire Soul Society, only you and Gin know my ability. I'm very curious about how you found out."

Yamahiko remained silent, He wouldn't reveal his identity as a transmigrator.

Aizen continued, "Don't try to hide it. Whether you tell me today or not, I will kill you, and the outcome is inevitable."

Yamahiko looked at Aizen and said, "Since you want to kill me, what's the point of me telling you or not?"

"Very simple," Aizen nodded and said, "If you don't tell me, you'll suffer. But if you tell me the whereabouts of Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihoin, I can let you die easily."

Yamahiko furrowed his brows and asked, "Kisuke Urahara? Yoruichi Shihoin, what do they have to do with this?"

Aizen looked at Yamahiko and said, "Without them, how could you know? You should have been sent here by them, right? This is also why you know about Metastacia killing Shiba Miyako."

Yamahiko felt somewhat puzzled and asked, "I was sent by them?"

Aizen smiled and continued, "That's correct. When you arrived in the Soul Society at the age of eleven, you already had a Reiryoku level of fifth-class. Even the prodigies like Gin Ichimaru and Rangiku Matsumoto reached a sixth-class Reiryoku level only after a hundred years. But you, in just twenty-one years, have reached a seventh-class Reiryoku level. It proves that you have exceptional talent, and the facts support this."

"Secondly, your abilities are astonishing. You've developed numerous powers, with your lightning-type Zanpakuto, which has various applications. Especially your ability to accelerate metal projectiles, which I found in the related materials. It's called an electromagnetic cannon, using lightning to generate a magnetic field to accelerate metal projectiles for high-speed strikes. It involves a wide range of knowledge that's never been taught at the Shin'o Academy or fully documented in the Daireishokairō (Great Spirit Library). Later, I discovered it's part of the most advanced research in the human world. How could an eleven-year-old soul possibly master so much knowledge?"

[For reference: - The first appearance of the term electromagnetism was in Magnes, by the Jesuit luminary Athanasius Kircher, in 1641

- The concept of the railgun was first introduced by French inventor André Louis Octave Fauchon-Villeplée, who created a small working model in 1917 with the help of the Société anonyme des accumulateurs Tudor (now Tudor Batteries).]

"Moreover, there's your fighting style that uses explosive power generated from the energy of lightning-based Kidō(Shunkō). I came across records of it in the Great Spirit Library; it's the Shihōin family's closely guarded secret. Not even Suì-Fēng knew about it, and yet you knew and helped her master it. It seems Yoruichi Shihoin told you, right? Yoruichi fled alongside Kisuke Urahara eighty years ago, and unless she told you, how could you possibly know?"

"Lastly, you joined the Onmitsukidō and even became the captain of the Onmitsukidō's Third Division(Detention Unit Corps Commander), which was formerly led by Kisuke Urahara and where he served the longest time in his career. Even when he later joined the 12th Division, he only spent nine years there. After entering the Onmitsukidō, you ascended to the captain's position in just a few years, making it look entirely natural. Wasn't this arranged by Kisuke Urahara? The Detention Unit has the authority to investigate, monitor, and apprehend members of the Gotei 13 at will, which makes it convenient for you to investigate secretly. It's a brilliant strategy."

"Add to that your knowledge of my Kyoka Suigetsu's ability. So, I assume Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihoin nurtured your growth, letting you enter the Soul Society at a young age and join the Onmitsukidō. Simultaneously, you silently track my actions. Killing Metastacia was the result of your investigation of Shiba Kaien."

"Kisuke Urahara must have told you not to look at my Kyoka Suigetsu, which is why you always avoided encountering me, and evading my Shikai"

Aizen explained slowly, and Yamahiko furrowed his brows. His connection with Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihoin, he would even begin to believe Aizen's theory if he didn't know himself?

The electromagnetic cannon, Shunkō, Detention Unit Corps Commander, and knowing about Kyoka Suigetsu's ability—all of it makes Aizen think it's related to Kisuke Urahara.

Yamahiko couldn't find a reason to oppose this, and he wouldn't reveal his identity as a transmigrator.

So, he had no chance of escaping today.

Yamahiko looked at Aizen and said, "Anyway, since I'm going to die, why should I tell you?"

Aizen smiled and replied, "In that case, I'll torture you until you speak, and then I'll kill you."

After saying this, Aizen turned to Tosen and said, "Tōsen, use your Bankai to kill him."

To which Tōsen responded, "Yes."

Tōsen held his Zanpakuto and was about to release his Bankai.

In that moment, Yamahiko's wings on his back trembled, and he turned into a streak of blue light, disappearing in an instant.

Tōsen didn't even react, and Gin Ichimaru narrowed his eyes, appearing deep in thought, his grip on his Zanpakuto loosening slightly.

But just when Yamahiko thought he had escaped, a flash of a sword cut across, striking him directly in the back, and blood spurted out. Even one of his lightning wings was cut off.

In the next moment, Aizen appeared in front of Yamahiko, hovering in the air, with lightning sparks trembling on his legs.

"What is this? How do you have Shunkō?"

Yamahiko, looking at the blue light on Aizen's legs, showed a look of shock. This was Shunkō, although it was only an incomplete version, it was indeed the Lightning Shunkō.

"So, it's called Shunkō?"

Aizen chuckled and said, "Your Shunpo was already excellent within the Gotei 13, and when combined with the lightning wings, your speed is incredible. To be honest, I wasn't sure I could catch up to you. But luckily, I've seen this technique you've been studying many times."

Damn it.

Yamahiko hadn't expected that Aizen would learn Shunkō. Aizen was already faster than him.

However, with the use of Shunkō, his speed had increased even further, surpassing Yamahiko.

Only a complete Shunkō and the lightning wings could surpass him.

Yamahiko was sweating profusely, realizing that he couldn't escape, and he was no match for Aizen's terrifying power.

Aizen sheathed his sword and said, "Tōsen, it's your turn now. Let him experience despair within your Bankai. Remember, severely injure him but don't kill him."

"Yes, Lord Aizen."

"Bankai, Suzumushi Tsuishiki: Enma Kōrogi."

With Tōsen's shout, the hilt of his Zanpakuto suddenly expanded into multiple rings, scattered and opened up, forming a large circular perimeter around Yamahiko.

Yamahiko's lightning wings trembled as he tried to escape, but before he could break through the perimeter, Aizen again struck him in the back with a single slash.

In the next moment, a dark oval-shaped barrier enveloped Yamahiko.
