A mysterious group of assassins chased after a girl, her form covered in dirt and blood.
"Get her! Don't let her get away!" they shouted, closing in on their cornered prey.
"There's nowhere to hide, princess," one of the assassins taunted.
The girl, her voice trembling with fear and confusion, asked, "Why are you after me?"
"It's our job. We have to kill you. No hard feelings," another assassin replied coldly.
Just as the situation seemed dire, Kaiho appeared, his presence filling the room with a palpable, menacing aura.
The assassins froze, their legs trembling in fear. Some even collapsed to the ground at the overwhelming pressure emanating from Kaiho.
"What the hell is that monster?" one of the assassins whispered in horror.
Kaiho stood protectively before the girl, his intent shrouded in mystery.
The girl, observing the scene with wide eyes, thought to herself, "Just who the hell is this guy?"
The leader of the assassins, attempting to maintain composure, declared, "It's just a boy. We can deal with him."
But deep down, the leader felt acreeping sense of unease. "I can'tafford to lose my composure. He mightkill me if I fail this mission."
"Everybody, get readyattack!" theleader commanded, trying to rally theshaken assassins.
Kaiho's laughter echoed in the tense air."Hahahaha..."
The assassins exchanged worriedglances. "I think that kid has lost it,"one of them muttered.
Meanwhile, the leader's mind raced, trying to decipher Kaiho's intentions."What is he plotting?"
Then, unexpectedly, Kaiho addressed the unseen presence. "When are you planning to come out, Kalki?"
The leader froze, shocked to hear that name spoken aloud.
The assassins began to gossip amongst themselves in hushed tones. "Isn't Kalki the top student?"
"I heard he's as strong as a Demi-god."
"Kalki is the heir of one of the strongest clans."
Fear gripped the leader's heart. "Should we retreat? I can escape him, but I don't stand a chance against the great clans."
As the leader of the assassins orders his men to retreat, Kaiho seizes the opportunity, grabbing the girl's hand and urging her to run.
"Runnnnnn...!" Kaiho's voice carries urgency and determination.
The girl's eyes shimmer with a mixture of gratitude and curiosity as she follows Kaiho's lead.
Kaiho glances back briefly, ensuring they put enough distance between themselves and their pursuers. "We must get out of here before they find out I was lying," he explains, his tone filled with caution.
After a strenuous sprint, they finally pause to catch their breath.
"Huff, huff, huff..."
"I guess it's far enough," Kaiho remarks between gasps for air.
The girl, her curiosity piqued, finally breaks the silence. "Why were those guys trying to kill you, dude?"
Kaiho hesitates, contemplating how much to reveal. "Me?"
"Yeah, you. Who else is here?" the girl insists.
"I am Ni... Kaiho," he finally discloses, choosing to share his name cautiously.
"Well, why were those guys trying to kill you?"
"I have no idea," Kaiho replied, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
The girl shrugged, her demeanor nonchalant. "Huh, well, I can't force you to tell me," she responded.
Kaiho couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment at her indifference. "Aren't you too cold? Shouldn't this be a situation where you should thank me?" he questioned, his tone slightly hurt.
"Why did you assume that?" the girl countered, her expression unyielding.
"Because I saved you," Kaiho replied, his voice softer now.
"I could have handled them on my own. I didn't need your help," the girl retorted, her words cutting through the tension.
Kaiho's expression fell, a sad emoticon forming in the air.
"They are coming," the girl suddenly exclaimed, her eyes widening in alarm.
"Well, that was quick," Kaiho remarked, swiftly grabbing her hand and running.
"I know a safe place," he assured her, but the girl recoiled.
"Don't touch me," she snapped, her eyes flashing with defiance.
"Hold your breath," Kaiho instructed abruptly, before leaping off the cliff's edge with her in tow.
"What?" the girl gasped in surprise as they plummeted downwards, entering the roaring waterfall.
As they ascended through the rushing waters, the girl struggled to hold her breath. Meanwhile, the assassins searched frantically for their quarry.
"Tch, I can't sense them anymore," one of the assassins muttered in frustration.
Meanwhile, in the waterfall's embrace, Kaiho's voice echoed through the cascading water. "Dude, I said to hold your breath!"
The waterfall's relentless force washed away the dirt and blood that had covered the girl's appearance, revealing her blond hair and beautiful green eyes.
Kaiho, mesmerized by her sudden transformation, couldn't help but think to himself, "This dude was a girl!"
Quickly regaining his composure, Kaiho focused on the urgency of the situation. "Get a grip of yourself, Kaiho. She is out of breath," he admonished himself inwardly.
Realizing the gravity of the moment, Kaiho made a daring decision. "I'm sorry, but I have to do this to save you," he murmured, leaning in to kiss her, trying to provide her with much-needed oxygen
"We are almost at the top. Just hold out for a while," Kaiho urged as they continued their ascent through the rushing waterfall. The girl, her eyes fluttering open, saw Kaiho losing consciousness after giving her all his oxygen.
As they reached the end of the waterfall, the girl managed to pull Kaiho onto solid ground, finding refuge in a nearby cave. With urgency, she dragged Kaiho out of the water's reach and checked his breathing—only to discover that he wasn't breathing at all.
"Once again, someone trying to help me is dead," the girl lamented tearfully. "I'm sorry. I am so sorry. Everything I touch dies."
Her despair deepened as she held Kaiho's hands and felt a faint pulse. "How is he still alive? I clearly remember he kissed me, so he should be dead. I think there's a way to save him if I give him CPR, but I don't know if he is willing to survive."
Summoning her resolve, she performed CPR on Kaiho, and to her astonishment, he coughed and stirred back to life.
"Cough, cough."
"That was a close one," Kaiho gasped.
"You're alive," the girl exclaimed, unable to hide her amazement.
"Yeah, but you should be dead," Kaiho pointed out casually.
"Dude, I've had multiple close calls with death," Kaiho added, attempting to reassure her.
The girl couldn't shake the haunting reality of her cursed power. "How is he alive even after I touched him? Since childhood, everything I've touched—plants, animals, people—all have died instantly due to this cursed power of mine. It even took the life of my mother."
"Just who are you?" the girl asked, her voice trembling with uncertainty.
"Like I said... I am Kaiho," he replied simply,
"Dude, you know I can't call you 'dude' all the time. What's your name?" Kaiho asked.
"It's Dove," the girl replied with a soft smile.
"Dove, nice to meet you," Kaiho greeted her warmly.
She smiled back, appreciating the effort to use her name.
"Dude...sorry, Dove. So, where are we?" Kaiho inquired, scanning their surroundings.
"It's a dead end. The waterfall led to this cave. I guess there was an exit, but it's not there anymore. The only way out is to jump, but we'll die because there's a giant rock blocking the cave entrance above us," Dove explained, her voice tinged with concern.
"What about the sides?" Kaiho suggested, considering their options.
"It's near the waterfall, so climbing is risky," Dove replied, shaking her head.
Suddenly, an announcement echoed in their minds with a loud noise.
"There are only three slots left; then this exam is over," the voice declared.
"Didn't you hear that?" Kaiho exclaimed, his expression turning serious.
"Shit, we're running out of time," Dove muttered, her eyes reflecting worry.
"There's no way we'll get there in time," Kaiho admitted, feeling the weight of the situation.
"Not if I can help it," Dove interjected, determination flashing in her eyes.
"You got a plan?" Kaiho asked, intrigued by Dove's resolve.
"Thirteen hours of movies, shows, anime a day—I'll figure something out," Dove replied, a glimmer of hope in her voice as she prepared to defy the odds and find a way out of their predicament before time ran out.
"My backpack...that tiger gave me," Dove mentioned suddenly.
"Tiger?" Kaiho echoed, intrigued.
"Yeah, that's a long story. This backpack belongs to a participant, I guess he died," Dove explained, rummaging through the contents of the backpack.
"Let's see what we have here...rotten food, rope, bamboo," Dove listed off the items she found.
Kaiho's eyes lit up with understanding. "Idea. Do you have a knife?"
"Here," Dove handed him the knife, curious about his intentions.
"Creating a bow and arrow," Kaiho declared, swiftly fashioning the tools from the bamboo and rope.
"So, my plan is to use the bow and arrow to put a hole into the rock so we can climb up using the rope," Kaiho explained, laying out his strategy.
"But the rope isn't long enough," Dove pointed out, her voice tinged with concern.
"That's why we're gonna jump," Kaiho revealed, his words surprising Dove.
"What? That's suicide!" Dove exclaimed, her eyes widening in alarm.
"Not if you use strengthening magic," Kaiho responded confidently.
"Do you think it will work?" Dove asked skeptically, unsure about the feasibility of Kaiho's plan.
Kaiho flashed Dove a reassuring smile. "Trust me. We'll make it."
With determination and a glimmer of hope, Kaiho and Dove prepared to execute their daring escape plan, relying on ingenuity and a touch of magic to defy the odds and reach safety before time ran out.
