Tears streamed down my face as I stood in my room and stared out at the reception area below. As I stood there in a lovely dress, all by myself, in pain, I could see Daniel disputing with his mother. Why she believed it would be okay to interrupt a wedding reception to tell the bride she wasn't good enough baffled me. My father did all in his power to make me look bad in order to give my sister my job, so I was familiar with the sense of not being good enough. He despised me so severely that he permitted the Alpha to assassinate my mother. My hand was taken by an arm, jerking me out of my reverie.
