My heart was beating as I stood in the pitch-black woods. I experienced a sense of being watched. I kept walking through the forest when a twig broke. I whirled around to see someone standing in the shadow.
asking, "Who's there? I immediately yelled, kicking myself for being so stupid as to do so. It amounted to asking to be murdered. I turned, stomping through the forest on uneven ground with my feet. I continued to run until the previous individual abruptly blocked my way. I stumbled back to the ground while attempting to extricate myself. A shivering laugh echoed through the woods, and I froze.
The remark, "Poor Sarah, all alone," came from someone, and I cowered in horror.
The question, "Who are you? I asked while attempting to contain my growing anxiety.
