As everyone turned to face me and rumors started to circulate in the courtyard, I got out of the automobile. Nate caught my eye with his mouth hanging open. I went inside the home after Benard. He turned to face him after the door was shut.
"The only reason you are still alive is because the other pack's leaders forbade your execution unless you posed a threat to us. Since two alphas formed the first Gemini, they claim that you are theoretically a royal, Benard stated as Isabelle stood in front of me, glaring.
I do not want her to remain here. As tears gathered in my eyes, Isabelle yelled.
I retaliated, saying, "I don't want to be here; I want to be with Ethan, but you said you guys would kill him, so here I am," as a sharp agony shot through my body. Although that was the only way to save Ethan, I missed him.
You expected me to believe you after lying to me about the Gemini? I gasped as she demanded
"Consider it this way. Who would have said something if they were me if you guys were talking about slaughtering Lycans?" I said, knowing I was correct as she scowled. What specifically do you want from me?
I said, "A figurehead and a really good weapon," and Benard replied. When attending formal events like the Beta, they wanted to parade me around.
I responded, "Fine," as he seized my arm. "What?"
"The study used to be in your room. As I headed up to what was now my room, Benard urged me to get dressed in a dress since there was a celebration tonight in your honor. Though I was aware that I wasn't safe, I didn't see any other options. I entered my room and found a silk dress in sky blue. I pulled it till it reached mid-thigh on the material. It had tiny straps and a plunging neckline. I gave the reflection a dejected glance. After putting on the silver high heels with straps, I pulled my hair into a side ponytail that was draped. Before placing my crown atop my head, I curled it. When I heard a knock at the door, I spun.
I smiled with a dejected look and said, "Come in."
Oh, honey, you're home!" I moved away from my dad when he grinned.
I forcefully commanded, "Don't touch me," as he abruptly stopped.
I groaned. "I didn't mean for this to happen," he added.
I muttered, "Just like you didn't tell me to kill my own brother," as my anguish grew with each passing second.
He murmured, his eyes beseeching Sarah to forgive him since he had messed up. I wished Ethan was here at this precise time as I thought of him. He'd be aware of what to do. I turned my head away as tears threatened to spill from my eyes.
I said, "I need time," with my voice shaking.
"Fine, I'll give you some space," he said, exiting the room. When I heard someone enter, I managed to gather myself. I turned to look for Nate.
I softly called out, "Nate," as he examined me.
I've heard that you're a Gemini Lycan. I wanted to let you know that it did not alter how I felt about you. My mouth dropped when Nate said, "I have taken care of you ever since you arrived here, and I will continue to do so. Regardless of what others thought of me, he liked me.
That means a lot to me, Nate. I hurried over and forcibly pressed my lips against his. As soon as he relaxed into the kiss, his hands were on my waist, and I felt the heat spreading over me. Benard walked in as I was attempting to break off the kiss.
"Wow!" he exclaimed, beckoning my attention. "I see you found a good match," I said.
Can Nate take me to the party with him? He nodded, and I inquired.
As he turned to go, Benard remarked, "Fine, I'll go get Isabelle." With a tiny smile playing at the corner of my lips, I turned to face Nate. As I started moving toward Nate, I noticed that I was forgetting everything that had happened. As Nate and I stared at each other, the anguish numbed my love for Nate, and I forgot that I was a prisoner. As we ascended the steps leading to the ballroom, I took hold of his arm. Benard and Isabelle took a position in front of us to introduce me to the group.
As everyone became silent, Isabelle remarked, "Today we join here in honor of one girl who could mean the end to every threat facing us as Lycans."
Benard yelled as the doors were opened, "Please welcome one of our Gemini Lycans, Sarah," and Nate led us inside. I waved as we stopped on the balcony. I continued to act happy while everyone applauded and clapped. "Not bad, princess."
I firmly whispered, "Don't call me that," maintaining my smile.
Isabelle said, "You need to get used to your title because it will be used frequently," as I grumbled.
Nate led me to the dance floor, and I said, "Fine," as we went down the stairs. As we moved to the music, his hands were on my waist as I faced him. We swayed, and I grinned at him.
What transpired after you left? Nate inquired as I stared into his blue eyes: "I asked Benard and Easton, but neither will say.
"Well, I went looking for my brother with Easton. When we found him, I wasn't sure what I was going to do, but I was certain that I had to save him. Easton recognized who I was. He gave me a kiss before getting the knife, and when I was looking away, he stabbed me. I escaped and located Ethan. As much as he could for a witch, he shielded me. As his tears gathered in his ocean blue eyes, I murmured quietly, "They caught up and threatened Ethan, so I went with them.
I'm sorry you were injured. Have you located your brother? I cringed at the question Nate posed. He said, "You don't have to tell me," after noticing my suffering.
"I've been there before, but I don't know where he is. I remarked, fighting back tears, "I can sense him, and he is happy right now." He deserves to lead a normal life for as long as possible. "If I weren't a Lycan Princess, I would love to live a normal life.
